Helper Description:
I am a Canadian by birth but have lived in NZ for 34 years, age 71. A keen cyclist, I love exploring, staying with HelpX hosts and giving them a hand. My handyman skills are well developed so that I can make myself very useful.
For a long time I have been based on Waiheke Island near Auckland, NZ, enjoying the rich cultural life there. Now and again it is fun to go off exploring by bicycle. Even though I am now 71 I am slim and very fit. In December and January I had a wonderful six week adventure cycling accross the South Island from Blenheim to Westport and down to Greymouth.
For the past couple of years I have been striving to create the world's first wearable folding wings to enable a person to fly like a bird. http://wearablewings.ning.com. Now I feel I need a break to recharge my batteries.
From September 2011 I look forward to a cycling adventure here and there in New Zealand for about six months.
