Companion Ad: I'm looking for a travel companion in Queensland or New South Wales. I'm in Maroochydore (located on the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane) right now.
I'm gay but don't make a big deal of it. I wouldn't tell it on here if it didn't spare me explaining this later and maybe losing a "friend"...
Helper Description: Hey!

About me:
I'm Stefan, 18 years of age and I've decided I wanted to see the world before heading on to university. In 2009, I studied as an exchange student in New Zealand for half a year. Before returning to Europe, I was lucky to have the opportunity to visit a friend of mine who was staying with a host family in Brisbane. I then realized that I actually preferred Australia over the country whose national symbol is a bird that is too fat to fly. You just have better weather, less sheep and more humans instead. Okay, maybe I'm being a little too tough on New Zealand, I acutally enjoyed my time in Kiwi land.
I have travelled a lot, mainly in Europe (esp. France) but my parents also dragged me to New York, Toronto etc. when I was little. I remember I hated being a tourist. We just hopped on German sightseeing buses and saw ever f***ing attraction that my dad's tourist guide recommended and I sadly never got to talk to any locals or make friends. Now, since I'm offically a grown-up and thus master of my own fate, I'm busy catching up on all this.

What I can do and what I can't do:
Being the son of a university teacher, I come from a family who valued academic education a lot. Yet, I don't mind physical work at all and I'm prepared to work hard (even though I have to say your sunshine beaches (you even call them like this!) really seem tempting to me). I speak French, English and German more or less fluently (German obviously “more fluently”) and I'd be happy to do something that proves I did not just work off my butt at school for no reason – I'm prepared to face reality though. In any case, what really matters to me is the overall experience rather than financial aspects: I would like to meet genuinely nice people, learn new stuff and have some awesome stories to tell when I come back home.

When am I where?
I'll arrive in Brisbane on 28 June. I'm planning to stay in Brissy for roughly a month and then travel northwards.
