Ahoi!...:)My name is Aldis,which originate from country by the name - Latvia,but I have become citizen of the world.I am traveling a lot and loving discover beautiful places,meeting new exciting people,learn about cultures and gain new skills.Everyone on my life's path is a teacher,so I am learning something from everyone.I have been volunteering for 4 years - 2 years for hostels in Scotland and Northern Ireland,and then 2 years with "HelpX" at farms,gites,farmhouses in France and Norway.I have experience working in hotels as well.First summer outside GB I was 2 months volunteering in France with 4 different hosts.Jobs I done,were old mansion refurbushing,inside house interior work,painting,re-fitting doors,windows,stone wall reindeering,installations,roofing,gardening,farming,putting up fences and general DIY.After France I'm crossed Europa couple times and went to Norway.in Norway I have volunteering in farms for 5 months.Duties were animal care,fence stripping and putting up,cooking,building,carpentry,painting,gardening,farm shop sales,faires,gardening,harvesting,tractor use,roofing etc.I was back in France last spring "helpxing" in B&B,restoring old farmhouse,camping site and in vineyards,then I have worked for 3 months in Italy,and was back again to volunteering in France.At the end of the summer I have been 2 weeks in the spiritual community high up in the mountains,where the work I have done was apple,pear picking,wall reindeering and stone step masonry.Aftewards I spent 2 months in Portugal,where the jobs I undertake was farming,gardening,stone work,wood work and night shifts in hostel,then I was in the Spain,helping with building and maintenance in self catering apartment property,where I have learned different jobs,some of which is tiling,brick walling,ground water pipe plumbing,door fitting and some wiring.Currently "helpxing" in France,Brittany.
Before that I have been working long years in full time jobs doing holidays and overtime with no free time left.Life has changed now...About myself in couple words - honest,hard working,punctual,highly resposible,social,reliable,polite,friendly with good sense of humor.I like nature,mountain walks,climbing,biking,motorbikes,swimming,volleyball,interior design,sustainable living,gardening,renewable energies,DIY,photography,crystals,ancient civilizations and spirituality.
