I prefer to travel under my own steam. Unless there's someone I really connect with, in which case que sera, sera... whatever will be will be. The future's not ours to see. Que sera sera.
Hello! I'm Alex and I'm looking to spend time in natural places, make good friends and contribute to caring households/projects around the UK and Europe.
I can cook amazing meals. I have a strong sense of herbs/spices and flavours to know what works well. I've grown some things at home (fruit and vegetables). But only on a small scale and I'd like to be part of bigger projects to see how it works and learn new skills.
If necessary I know how to do computer stuff, wordpress, marketing, blogs - if it's relevant. I did work as that for a while professionally.
House wise I've helped paint, build walls and I can clean. I'd like to learn some more DIY skills.
I'm also good with massage. I did it professionally for a while.
I like to write short stories and go for bike rides in my free time.
My philosophy is we're moving into a time in history where people will return to nature, where we need more human connection and healing, and lots of people will get into a place of truth and honesty and ultimately love. Money will become less important, and we'll have to work with nature and land, food, animals and also new technology to bring forth human evolution and a better standard of living and wellbeing.
Anyway, that's all a bit high faluting and I don't intend to scare anyone off. This stuff just comes to me in dreams and visions and it's worth putting it out there for people who resonate with that. And to scare off the normies! Mwahahaha.
I don't know if I'll use this site. But I feel I might travel at some point and it would be good to connect with people who need help in their worlds. And also to go to somewhere and be part of a group that's rooted and working - rather than being a solo traveller in the hostal.
The only thing I will say - I often need my own space. So please don't be offended if I'm not sociable all the time. I recharge in my own company. I give out lots of energy when with others. I'll work and help out but there will be times when I have to say No or I'm overwhelmed and just need some downtime.
