I am not against travelling with someone, especially for hiking.
I be in New Zealand in mid October for 6 to 10 months.
No precise plans.
IN FRANCE (ARRIVAL IN AUCKLAND ON OCTOBER THE 17TH)
My 30L backpack and my empty watercolor road notebook are ready to explore New Zealand for the first time.
As for me, its not the first time I set foot on hobbits & kiwi land. Born in New Caledonia, I spent some holidays there, but I was not old enough to travel with no plans (or only a hint of a plan).
I know that my name is not easy to pronounce for non French native speaker, so I dont mind if you call me Bob. It sounds more "adventurer" ;)
Some ID stuff :
- 25 years solo traveler
- tired by 6 years of studies in France, mostly in Paris
- try to learn guitare, ukulele and watercolor without any success
- worked in a art shipper company and in a French bakery (as a seller, sorry ;) )
- speak French, English with a French accent (hope to discard it), some Kurdish and Farsi.
- former scout (so used to get dirty and outside work)
- good French teacher
Its my first solo long term trip (except the fact I moved from New Caledonia to France, but I donít consider that as a "trip"). I am very excited and canít wait to discover this way of travelling.
As I am a to-do-list adept :
- zero waste travel
- milk a cow
- know more about permaculture
- off the grid experience
- avoid French
- things I donít expect to do
What else ?
I am curious, very very curious about everything. I think I try to play a new instrument, try to learn a new language and try a new sport every six months/year.
I like sports, especially the ones when you fly (circus apparitus like aerial silk or trapeze, pole dance, etc) and I am not afraid of bungy jumping (in fact I like feeling both fear and rush of adrenalin).
I play many instruments even if I dont know how to use it properly (its a pleasure for me, not for the ears around) :)
Rather a calm person, not shy but no extrovert neither. I expect to enjoy nature, to hike, to learn about farming, to improve my English, to meet interesting people, and above all to discover the unexpected.
Vegetarian (but allow some exceptions to my diet in special occasion). I dont like to impose my diet so I gladly cook and share my meals.
I try to travel light as I am tired of carrying a huge bag and looking like a giant turtle ;)
Regarding my travel background, I did some wwoofing before and I visited several countries as Georgia, Iran, Estonia, Lettonia, Latvia, Canada
I mostly avoid touristing things.
