I am always up to meeting other travelers.
Now - 27th Sep San Francisco
27th Sep - 27th Oct Mexico (Nayarit, Puebla)
27th Oct - (who knows?) Guadeloupe/Martinique (preferably)
Currently in Rincon de Guayabitos, Nayarit, Mexico, heading to
Mexico City and Cancun soon. Then somewhere to Caribbean
(preferably Martinique or Guadeloupe).
I am planning to make a low cost trip to Martinique at the end of October. I am originally from Czechia, currently working in San Francisco and next Wednesday (27th Sep), I am going to Mexico to volunteer there for one month. I would LOVE to continue somewhere to Caribbean, preferably to Guadeloupe or Martinique which have been on my list of dreamed countries to visit for a long time.
I would like to stay in Matinique for a longer period of time (1 - 6 months) and I want to either find a job there or volunteer for food and accommodation because I can't afford paying for the expensive hostels/hotels for longer period of time.
I am really good in talking but I am also manually dexterous. I have had numerous part-time jobs since I was 15yo (now I'm 24) and I can learn new things very quickly. I am also a musician (drums, percussions, sax, piano) and a passionate traveler, hiker, animal and nature lover. I study linguistics, I speak English, French, Czech and Slovakian fluently and I am currently learning Spanish.
I believe that volunteering would be the best choice to get to know locals and experience the local culture. Because I do not know anybody in Martinique/Guadeloupe I would really appreciate getting any volunteering/working connected recommendations and contacts for anyone living in Martinique/Guadeloupe.
I have done some volunteering in the past, I am a very outgoing person who is used to working, I have good communication skills, I am adaptable, reliable, frank, responsible, self-reliant, open-minded and have a team spirit.
I would also love to help people whose homes were hit by the hurricane Maria.
