Ballinafad House is a heritage listed 110 room manor house currently undergoing restoration and renovation work. Ideally, we are looking for skilled or semi-skilled people (especially who have experience in finishing work - patching, painting, gardening, etc), however anyone willing to contribute to the project will be considered. The project is also currently being filmed for a TV series. We have several rooms which have been finished, and your accommodation would be a hotel quality room with king size bed and en-suite. Internet is available and food will be provided so that you can cook/prepare your own meals. The property is in a tranquil rural setting and is a great place to explore the surrounding countryside and the Wild Atlantic Way.

***** Due to unforeseen circumstances we have an immediate vacancy or two. Thank you ******

This old estate is located on beautiful Valentia Island of the South West coast of Kerry. The estate was home to several generations of Knights of Kerry. Today there is a historic B&B in the old manor house, 4 self catering holiday homes, a mature sub tropical garden, heritage woodlands, a walled garden and a working farm, all for visitors to wander about. It's 10 minutes walk to the lighthouse, 3 minutes to the beach. There are ancient healing energy points on the grounds, dating back to druid times and many ancient sites nearby, like the UNESCO World Heritage site Skellig Rock. We - Jessica and Eoin and our 2 Kids (6 and 4 years old) have taken over from Jessica's mum. The whole estate is in need of a tidy-up and a face lift. It is a very exciting time and if you would like to be part of a team making Glanleam shine and glow again then we would love to have you with us. The list of work t... more inside

Preferably someone who can use a Chainsaw
Free accommodation and meals, with private living space if required. Free wifi provided.

We just have one pet, Oscar the cat.

Carraroe is a village in Irish-speaking Connemara, 25 miles west from Galway city. Frequent bus services connect Carraroe with the city, but I also travel to and from the city often.

Carraroe is surrounded by beaches and has a number of cafes and bars with live music. There is also a niteclub on the weekends.

*CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A HELPER - to start asap :-) *

Hello,

We have a beautiful home in Wicklow, known as 'The Garden of Ireland'.

My parents are retired and they are looking for someone who would be available to help with various on-going projects in the garden, such as fencing, mulching, DIY, prepping for and planting trees and shrubs, picking fruit. It's a wonderful garden and there's a lot of different things going on so the work would be varied.

In exchange for 5-6 hours work per day, 5 days a week, we will provide you with a lovely double bedroom with bathroom, wifi, electricity and hot water. We will also provide food, we will provide food for your breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be prepared for you as we usually have a family meal in the evening.

There is a lot to do in the area in the evening and for your days off:

In the area there is walking and hiking to be done, the sugarloaf mountain, Glendalough, and the Wicklow National Park are close by. W... more inside

I have a bit of a run down mobile home available for the summer to anyone who wants to help fix it! It would suit a couple or a small group, up to 4 people. There's a wood burner, 2 double bedrooms and a single, compost toilet, kettle etc, main meals in the house, so is the bathroom, although there is a sink and water in the mobile, no hot water unless you are handy with that sort of thing.
Independant, easy going, liberal minded, unjudgemental people only need apply. We grow medical herbs here, so an interest in this area would be good. The place is getting a bit overrun with weeds again, I need someone who can handle a strimmer, it does not look like the pictures, but a couple of days with the strimmer and it'll look even better!! Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are pretty strict working days, the rest of the week can be left for pottering and making nice things. Friday is market day in Bantry.
I have a large grown up family and a busy business life. There are 3 acres here, m... more inside

This is an 18th century listed farmhouse, with a partially restored courtyard and outbuildings in need of lots of love and attention - particularly stone work! The property is set on 4 acres of mixed woodland, meadow and garden - which is in need of constant care also - We are definitely looking for helpers who love the outdoors:)

CURRENT JOBS
- Painting
- stone work (mainly low wall building) with host
- for rainy days there are numerous smaller indoor jobs such as cleaning stone walls in reclaimed sheds and painting woodwork/doors/windows

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- a fair amount of work in exchange for meals and accommodation. We have been working for more than 20 years to make improvements to our house, garden and woodland area and it is absolutely a labour of love. We would like to stress that we are looking for likeminded people who will enter into this spirit as we have had experiences with helpxers who had other priorities and it wasn’t a great experience!

About our Place
Our place consists of a house, Holistic Centre, outbuildings and garden area. It is in the heart of a rural part of Ireland, a small village called Donamon, which is approximately 15km outside of Roscommon Town. This makes it a great location for a peaceful and relaxed stay, whilst being fairly close to Roscommon town. We are also a short drive from a number of great places to visit. There is no public transport from Donamon so you would need a car or bike to travel anywhere that is not in walking distance, although we are happy to give you a lift if we are going into town, etc.

Set in a rural environment it is an ideal location for a relaxing break, a retreat or fishing, walking, etc. whilst providing us with some help. We are a short walk from the river Suck and Donamon Castle.

We offer a tranquil setting where you can escape from the distractions of modern day life. Our aim is to provide a peaceful and quiet environment, suitable for relaxation and retreat... more inside
