need helpers in september

located on the south-west coast of France, we own an old farm . Commercial activities stopped and buildings were then left to mother nature's rules. We bought that house in 2001, and are still renovating it. We, Daniel and Patricia, will host you in a convivial atmosphere for two ,three weeks minimum I breed great danes and jack-russels and work on renovating our house . Our English is not fluent(we are a french couple) so we'd expect you to try and speak French as often as you can, our English being here to help you in cases. You would notice that we do love animals as on the property are: cats, great danes, jack-russels, 3 horses, a 5yo stalion, donkeys, chickens, pigeons (and sorry for the ones i'd have forgotten).
We have 2 bedrooms with 1 kingsize bed and another bedroom with a single bed. House has a wireless access, and bedrooms have their own TV. There is a bike that you can borrow, and daily use of the internet.
3 meals a day provided (Vegetar... more inside

A couple of months a year we run learning holidays (creative writing, cooking and wine tours) for small groups of people at our property in the north Deux Sevres near the historic town of Thouars. Our home is located in the middle of the countryside, next to an abbey, on the GR36, one of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela; it's pretty common to see shell bearing pilgrims trundle past.

The Thouarsais region is a farming region and is famous for wine. It is classified as a 'vignoble du Val-de-Loire', although technically the town itself is located just outside. Our administrative region is Poitou-Charentes, but Thouars considers itself to be a Loire town, from its architecture and history you can see why. We orient most of our activities toward the Loire. Nearby places and towns of interest include: Chinon (famous for red wine, associations with Henry II, Elanor of Aquitane and Joan of Arc), Fontevraud l'Abbaye (burial site of Henry II, Elanor of Aquitane and Richard t... more inside

My house is always busy and with something to do.
I live in a small village located by the lake in St Pee Sur Nivelle at the foot of the Pyrenees which I love to explore.

We love our life here in the beautiful Ariege; having retired early & moved here from England to live our dream. Our cottage-type home is just a 6 minute stroll from the centre of the lovely village of Seix (pronounced "sex"), which is built on the banks of two picturesque rivers, nestling in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
See our website for fuller details of our home and our lovely location.

We need Helpers all year round, Although we have quite a few weeks fully booked, it may be worth an email to us;
In particular we would like helpers for LATE SEPTEMBER TO EARLY OCTOBER, ANY TIME IN NOVEMBER AND THEN EARLY TO MID DECEMBER.

*** Now looking for 2 or 3 helpxers for woodland, compost and general outdoor work, 27th September 2014 for one week - Strong boots needed! ***

We live in a beautiful, traditional 'longere' in the Pays de la Loire, with a bright & airy, two bedroom Gite attached to our house for our helpxers to stay in. There's wireless broadband available or, if you haven't got a laptop, you can access mail on our office computer. We have a small project music studio attached to our property too.

Our home is in a beautiful rural area but is only 2km from the nearby town of Gorron, so it's an easy & pretty walk or bike ride away.

Our aim here is to live by Permacultural principles and have created lots of different habitats for our wild friends. We grow our own vegetables and fruit and we also raise some free range poultry for the table and for eggs and have two cats whose job is to be naughty!

We are looking for people to give help with our newly planted woodland - bramble busters are... more inside

hello! i am living in a village (lanas) in the south of ardèche.
i have a piece of land (about 1 ha) in the next village (balazuc, 3 kms far away).
it's situated in the ardèche valley, where the canyon is biginning, close to vallon pont d'arc and the chauvet cave.
i am an artist and very interested in nature, trees, permaculture, gardennig...
this year we built 3 "buttes" (heaps?), where different vegetables are growing.
since a few years we are planting trees.
step by step, i would like to realize a forest garden.
i need help in the garden (to plant, to water, to mulch, to built a pergola, to renovate a small pond, built a bookcase...)
i have 2 daugthers, kinga 6 and wangari soon 2, they are "unschooled".
for me it is very important that you like and enjoy to be with children, spend time with them, play with them, to share their interest (walk, read, swimm, play...).
we are speaking french, german, english.

Hi there, Tobias here. Where? The Bearn? A well-kept secret in the South West of France. A beautiful and diverse region with its own timezone - 15 minutes behind the rest of France. It has everything that you need including food, wine AOCs, music, culture, rivers, mountains, surf.

Here a one-man-band (with riffs as an agricultural scientist/viticulturist/inventing/building type), is slowly setting up an organic/permaculture inspired project on a jewel of a piece of land (see fotos - the diamond shape). The soil (a clay sandy mix), aspect, exposition and shelter are all beautiful - sadly the land had been neglected for 4 years so there is lots to do. Just entering the third year. As yet I cannot live on the land, except for camping. Helpers will live with me in the centre of the local town (10KM away) - so a great work/life situation.

Planned work:

I am now full until November (though there is a little space in September) but, please, don't be coy, come and join i... more inside
