Our names are John, Siriluck and Tom our 5 year old son.
We are trying to create a wonderful environment in which to live.
https://vimeo.com/138128782
Our first priority is to build our family home and we're looking for help to build it. The house is well advanced now and we will be doing the internal rendering from 20 July.No special building knowledge needed. (don't worry, I'll be on site and the buck stops with me).
Sometimes there is some work to be done in the wood.
We provide a caravan for accommodation and good food. You will also be sharing our Yurt with us, especially at meal times. We ask 5 hours a day for 5 days every week.
The house, to our knowledge, is the first Cob build in the South of France. It's actually a hybrid with load bearing Straw Bales on the North wall. 50 cm thick cob walls, bioclimatic greenhouse, lime/acacia foundations, natural stone plinth, lime and earth renders, rocket stove, self-build solar panels.
At the time of writing we are busy C... more inside

We are a young couple (Mexican girl, French guy) who set up an organic shop ( FB: The Bio Shop) in Paris one year ago. Now we need some help with the papers (prices, accounts), organisation, deco (maximum 4 hours par day).

My and my partner have some previos experiences in Helpx and in Couchsurfing, you can check my profile (Claudia Mata Garcia). We really enjoy sharing our space, but because our appartement is quite small (as commun in Paris), we ask you to be as clean and organized as possible (don't worry, we are not maniac).

We offer you a couch in the living room, all your meals (our food is organic and mostly vegetarian), a bike and Wifi connection.

We need:

* Help with the papers. We need someone who knows the basics about Excel and Word.

* Maybe a couple of hours par week in the shop ... for specific tasks as decoration and tidying up the reserve. It can be early in the morning or after 9 pm.

Extras:

* We have two lovely pets, so, we ask for someone ... more inside

***Looking for help from the 22nd September onwards***

We are a French couple in our thirties and we bought an old farm in the countryside last year (département de l'Ain). We would like to open an eco-friendly Bed & Breakfast in a few months and organise artistic classes & nature walks.

We already have help this summer for the renovation of one bedroom and the façade. But in September & October we would like to renovate another room for the artistic classes, and refurbish the furniture.

If you are willing to discover a beautiful & peaceful area and help us with our project, we would be more than happy to welcome you! You would have your own double bedroom and share the meals with us (and our cat Cannelle). You can also camp in our garden if you prefer!

We usually welcome helpers for one or two weeks as the work can be strenuous.

Hello!

We are a little family, living in south France, in Gers: Pascal, Mélanie and Annah wich is about 6 years old.
We try to have a non violent parenting.

We both like to do a lot of things by ourselves, and we try to tend towards self-sufficient.
We live in a typical old farm and we refurbish little by little, at our tempo and on nature pace.

We have a lot of projects for the lands like gardenning with permaculture, creating a forest garden, building a beehive, using solar energy and our good sense!

For the renovation of our house we use earth, lime, wood, pigments and mostly some recycling, many organic and natural product and our hands for doing the work...

We love cooking, especially vegetables and wild plants, flowers, mushrooms. We eat sometimes meat but not much, so if you are vegetarian there's no problem.

If you like sharing ideas, joy, knowledges, work, laugh, music and so on... one after the other or all at same time...we look forward to meeting you! ... more inside

Hello,

I'm traveling by inland river barge through Europe, especially France, Belgium and Holland. The barge is an original Dutch built peniche and made for the old French channels. I still transport cargo and I am the third generation of a shipper family from both sides of my parents. I live and work alone on the barge sometimes accompanied by my girlfriend.

There is a simple separate -little- room (see photo..)for guests in the front of the barge which is not suite. (no sanitaire, but there is a chemical toilet and lavabo) Also a heating system, fridge/freezer and micro-wave.

The work to do depends on the person, maybe some cleaning, housekeeping work, shopping and cooking? ? ? And serving the aperitif of the skipper of course at 18h00 exactly..LOL.

My intention is to make contact with other people and have an exchange of cultures.

Kind regards,

William
