Do you like to spend some time in the beautiful hills in the south of France?

We could need you for helpX-jobs or housesitting and taking care of the animals, the garden and the house when we go away for some days.

We have a very nice dog, 6 cats, 6 chickens and 10 cows and some calfs.

We bought an old farm, we moved in (may 2015) and have been renovating since.
You can find our farm at 60 km's south of Toulouse. We are 57 and 61 years old and we are from Holland and moved to France in 2004. We speak dutch, french, english and can understand german. We are open minded and like to meet people from other countries. When we were students we travelled a lot.

During the housesitting you can stay at our farm of course. When you do just HelpX: mainly painting, gardening, woodcutting; we have a nice little holidayhouse (gite) for the helpers where you can stay for free. With a new kitchen in it where you can also cook your own meals with our vegetables, beef and eggs if you ... more inside

Organic Status: We do our best, in our own way

Dear Helper,
We are a young (in spirit and mind) French-Argentinian-International couple, Annette & Alé, that after backpacking, moving and living all around the world for many years, are living now in France, in a farm (La Vermillière) at the heart of the "Parc Naturel du MARAIS POITEVIN" (Grand Site de France), at the edge of La Banche river.

Our place is near to La Rochelle, Ile de Re, Atlantic sea side...

Seven years ago, we bought a XVI century old farm, to renovate it, and we are still working on it, in order to propose B&B with full accessibility.

Our goal is to reach a self-sufficient and sustainable life style, and to share our way of life with helpers and friends. We believe this is our way to make a better world.

We own several kinds of poultry, such as ducks, geese, hens, roosters and chickens, a little flock of sheep, a bunch of rabbits, a dog (Lila) and two cats (Tango & Samba), along with a vegetable garden of 600 sq. meters and an orchard of 30 different... more inside

I would be happy to host a helper from 20 august to the end of august.
I live in an old but rénovanted house in a nice village. I have a garden in front and behind my house, which need to be clean. There is also some creation to do, like make a separation in hazelnut branches and other things like that. I have also painting to do ( windows, garden staffs). It will be also time to make jam from blackberries, and to collect fruits in gardens.
It's more funny to work with somebody than alone.
I like also to show you the nice surrounding of my area, do cycling or walking tours, meet my friends with you and go to Poitiers, which is a very nice university town.
I travel a lot ( so some months of a year I'm abroad) and I have contacts with foreign students in Poitiers. I like the
ecologique way of live, I like to live simple and happy.
The two last Summers I did a walking tour in the Picos de Europa in spain and also in Tenerife and in La Palma de Canarien Isles. I would be... more inside

Hello Helpers. We can offer a warm and friendly welcome to 1 or 2 helpers, with great food, lovely location, excellent accommodation, pleasant socialising and 4 gorgeous cats. We need help in the garden from someone who doesn't mind weeding. Also we have a few maintenance jobs and a couple of projects for someone who's handy with DIY. Please let us know if you are interested in either task - or maybe a couple where one can garden and the other can use their DIY-type skills. But a single gardener is fine - mostly weeding but tidying up as well and maybe doing a bit of planting. And you can pretty much weed in the shade at certain times of day.

We live in a big house situated at the end of a no-through road, amongst the Bordeaux vines - lovely and tranquil with very little traffic to disturb our 4 cats! We have an indoor pool so you can swim whenever you like.

Mel is a great cook; apart from International cuisine, he can do Chinese, Indian, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Malaysian... more inside
