Do you want to travel, meet people and gain some new skills? ..... come and join us if you do.

The team currently comprises Carl, Diane, Jazz (demented working cocker spaniel).

There are 5 C17th stone cottages, 5 stone barns, a ruined cottage, a heated swimming pool plus 30 acres of woodland, lawns, meadow and a steam: all set in the beautiful rolling Morbihan countryside just 25 miles from the stunning southern Brittany coastline.

The aim this winter is to commission a mobile home; create a fenced vegetable garden following permaculture principles; make and install cleft sweet chestnut gates and post & rail fencing; clear fallen trees from a derelict field, move an electric fence and our permaculture pig into the next area to be cleared; continue to bring the woodland back into active management utilising low impact silvicultural systems; cut, split, move and stack firewood from our sustainably managed woodland; maintain the grounds; domestic cleaning and cooking; feed the... more inside

Bonjour everybody:)

WANTED English or French native speaker (or somebody who speaks really well at least one of these languages) SUPER nanny from March.

As you see in our profile, we already had some helpers, and thanks to them the house and garden are much nicer.
We have a dog (a puppy Wiener) and a cat, they are both allowed in the house.

We both work from home, so we'd like to have somebody who could help out with our little girl (who is of very good nature) and possibly give us a hand with cleaning and cooking.

Springtime and summertime: the most important help would be gardening. Which includes digging, weeding, planting and watering.

We are always open to your DIY ideas.

On rainy days we'd like to scan a lot of family photos, which are on paper now. (yes, we are so old;). )

But let's not just speak about the work:

Our house is situated in the East of France, so if you want to make some trips on your days off to Germany, Luxemburg or Belgium, it is rea... more inside

Before you send us an email, please read our whole profile.
March till October, you are welcome again.

We are John and Patricia, a Dutch couple, who live in Normandy. We speak Dutch and English( and understand German) but from our French you get tears in your eyes.....
So for people who want to improve their French this is probably not the best place to come.....Or you take a 5 minute walk to the local village where ALL people speak French and are very friendly. There are some bars but no night entertainment.

Physically and mentally fit people wanted who like to ( help us) maintain a large exciting domain. Come and be part of our family, when we are busy doing our day to day duties. You don't live in our house but have a separate house for yourself, so lots of privacy for you and also for us ;-)
Due to some bad experiences with helpers who saw our place as a cheap resort we now only take helpers with former experience and references.
We like to welcome people who under... more inside

Hello to you, and welcome to our HelpX info page. We hope you will find our page interesting, informative, and most of all, appealing to you.

Kath and I are down-to-earth Yorkshire ex-pats who would want to make you feel welcome, at home, & relaxed at our Belle Maison, which is about 150 years old. We live in the commune of St Pardoux, Deux-Sevres, in a very small and very quiet hamlet of just 4 families. We have Lucas, a friendly border collie, Puss, our three legged cat, and Loupie, the manic kitten. St Pardoux is 8km away from the historical town of Parthenay. Poitiers/La Rochelle are just over an hours drive away, with Tours and Nantes being about 90 minutes away . May we remind potential helpers that it really is a very quiet area where we live.

In late February and March 2016 we are looking for help with getting the garden ready for next summer. Lifting and shifting will be involved. BUT !!! We also need someone to cut back the branches on a Lime tree. It's about 6 met... more inside
