We have a lot of chicken (about 100) as well as a few cats (9) and dogs (4) running around. Other than that we try to produce a few organic products such as tomato paste, dried tomatoes and figs and make our own olives.My husband is a fisherman, so we have our own fresn fish to eat.
We speak greek, english, french and german.
We have one room available for 1-2 volunteers, separate from our house.

*WE NEED HELPERS FOR THE AUTUMN PERIOD FOR THE FOLLOWING TWO SECTIONSq;
- OLIVE HARVEST
- DECORATION OF THE ROOMS

We are a family of 5 members (and a baby!) living in North-Evia close to the village Rovies. We own 8 rooms to let (studio type), which we rent during the summer and we live there and host friends in the wintertime. We work mostly with agriculture (olive trees and garbage gardens) and sometimes with fishing .
We try to gain everything we need of food on our own and biological. So we eat fish when we go fishing, we eat the vegetables that each season can grow in our garden and the fruits of our trees. We also produce olive oil and wine which is totally organic and healthy.
During the Spring we prepare the hotel for the summer season, which means planting and taking care of the trees and the garden, painting, decorating the rooms, taking photos etc..
So, deepended on the season,there are different kinds of work to be done, but always work "from us t... more inside

Help needed immediately with our Greek island cat colony, due to a volunteer not showing up. A small studio is offered in exchange for three or four hours a day to help care for sixty five plus rescued cats and kittens.
The little house has simple cooking facilities, wifi, a double bed and an en-suite shower room. You will get a day and an afternoon off each week. I provide breakfast every day and a couple of times a week I cook for everyone who is here.
We offer lavender products which we make, to raise funds for the expenses and help with this and our social media campaigns would also be welcome. Would suit a couple or a single helper. Over twenty five - cat lovers preferred and only stays of one month or more are possible as it takes a while to get to know the cats and vice versa. You can see more about us on facebook and our website.

Help in a monastery and discover authentic Greek life.

From beginning of March to end of November, we are looking for a volunteer to help for general and diverse tasks, as sweeping the courtyard, taking care of the animals of the farm, gardening, preparing the rooms for the hosts and so on.... The volunteer will be involved in the monastery life (which is quite active), and help mostly Maria, the priestís wife.

Located on Kea island, this monastery is a mythic place which attract a lot of people and tourists. There is no monk there and even if it is a very peaceful place, the volunteer will not have to follow any monastic rules of living (just to be dressed decently).

Organic Status:

We are a family of four, Zeta, Mike, Yannis (12 years) and Athina (9 years), who live in the mountains in the Peloponnese region of Greece. Our small village, Bozika, has a population of less than 150 people, and is located 30 minutes from Kiato, the closest town. Kiato is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes southwest of Athens, and easily accessible by trains running either from the Athens airport of the city. We live our lives simply, as close as possible to the natural world, and we appreciate the richness that nature brings to our lives. Our family enjoys cooking and sharing traditional dishes from the Greek culture, and for the past three years we have been operating a small tavern/restaurant next to our house. In the restaurant, we serve food that we grow on our farm, including fruit, vegetables, pork, chicken, rabbit, turkey, cheese, honey and products we make from our olives!

Life on our farm includes lots of time working outside with our hands, and specific tasks very th... more inside
