Hi, we are a family of 6, 2 kids, 2 dogs and my partner and I. We have just bought a property here in Catalonia, 15 min by car to the sea and Tarragona. Our property is 20000 sqm on a hill with a forest of pine trees, would be better if you have a car because from our property to the village is 2 km non asphalted road, sometimes we can drop you but not sure always, in the village you have every hour busses coming and going, another point to clear is that we have WiFi but is only near the house and isn't a very fast one, to check emails etc is ok. We are looking for a couple that would come to help to prune trees, clear paths, fix roads, build a log cabin and do other general work. We have a campervan with awning for you in a terrace with a nice view. We live off-grid, we have a solar panel for the campervan and others on the roof of the house. You would eat all main meals with us, working time around 5 or 6 hours a day depending on the jobs in question. If you have animals or kids it... more inside

Organic Status: Organic permaculture farm

Hola todo el mundo.

We are looking to host for small construction jobs, Chainsawing, gardening, child and horse care. You don't have to have experience for the horses. Just feeding and watering.

We love healthy living and raw ,natural, creative eating, so a good vegetable garden is important.

The farm is located 12 km from a seaside town, 1 km from a country road and there is a restaurant / bar at the entrance.

We are a family with two eleven year old children.
We have two mares on an adjoining farm ,so riding is a readily available activity.

There is a beautiful roman sulfur bath nearby. The sulfurous water flows in from the mountain.

If you love gardening, permaculture & learning about wild edible plants and raw cuisine you'll enjoy being here.

Separate accommodation , wifi & family living.
Hablamos Castellano, Ingles, Francais y Nederlands tal. Hasta Luego.

Organic Status: Organic for several years

Hi,

Requirement from beginning of September to sometime in October, three to four weeks.

Hi
I live on a farm with two stupid dogs and a cat. The farm is situated in an isolated spot on the Contraviesa near Orgiva on the edge of the Alpujarras, in the Costa Tropical, Andalucia. The farm overlooks the Mediterranean with the Sierra Nevada behind. On a bus route with access to both the coast and Granada. Accommodation is similar to a hotel room with double bed and en suite bathroom, with hot and cold water and central heating (useful in the winter!). Wifi available (note only wifi). Nice bar about a kilometer away. The area has great walking either locally or in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. The coast is more Spanish than the Costa
del Sol. The closest main towns are either Granada or Motril, with the smaller town of Orgiva a twenty minute
bus journey away (bus goes past house). Granada is a fantastic place and the
Alhambra is a must, Motril is a major port on the coa... more inside

We live in a beautiful valley overlooked by mountains, where there are terrific walks, although we are in the country we are only 15 MINUTES from the lovely beaches of the 'Small Sea' known as The Mar Menor and the Mediterranean sea, also the beautiful and historic cities of Murcia, Cartagena and the beautiful, La Manga. 30 minutes by car is the lovely town of San Pedro where there is a big nature park and old Roman salt pans along with the Mud Baths where in summer time, people cover themselves with the mud, which is very good for you, then wash it off in the sea, leaving your skin lovely and soft.

You must understand that we live in a very rural area with NO bus service. We do have a mountain bike for your use in your spare time and we always try to help by taking our helpers to areas of interest WHEN OUR SCHEDULE ALLOWS IT. We have WiFi but you have to have your own device, i.e. laptop, tablet, smart phone etc. We cannot supply computers to you. We need helpers who feel comfor... more inside

Dedicated to self-sufficiency, organic agriculture, and making bad-ass wine and olive oil, and traditional construction.

We like french and catalan guests, as we want to practice our language skills.

But we will always try to accept any of the people who seem like a good fit, and especially those with skills and experience.

We are now doing lots of garden and field work, pruning vines and orchards, as well as traditional construction and restoration.

In addition, we are working on a 15th century castle-house that a very close friend of ours has purchased, and will need many years of restoration work. Lots of stone masonry.

Finishing up a mountain house, but we still have plenty of work before its ready to live in. Also just discovered a mine underneath this mountain house, so that opens up a whole new field of restoration.

There is also always space for carpenters, electricians, builders, welders, and painters, as well as artisans and craftsman of all sorts.

Organic Status: permaculture

In 2012, sick of all negativity, we (Jasper & Steph) decided to look for something positive and we made a trip through Europe. Visiting all kinds of places where people live in an alternative, off-grid and permaculture way. During this trip we made short films about inspiring people who showed us their little paradises. If want to have a look; check out our blog: 'lemondrops.mobi'

The trip finally led us to a beautiful piece of land on a mountain slope in the Sierra Nevada. In 2013 we moved from the Netherlands to Spain to turn this abandoned land into our self sufficient dream place.

When we arrived the land was as a blank page to us, we had to create all the basic needs, there was nothing, only a ruin and a spring. In the 3 years we've been here we've learned a lot about organic gardening, creating water- and solar power systems and sustainable building.

It really has been an inspiring time and with all the help we got from friends and helpxers, we've come along way. Ple... more inside
