Looking for help from late OCTOBER INTO DECEMBER, we are looking for a mature, responsible, trustworthy person or couple to help wrap up winter prep in October. In November/December we are going away for 3 weeks and would like that person/couple to look after the house and pets. Our parents live next door, so responsibilties for that time period would include daily activities and chores, with my parents next door for support if needed. Own transportation would be preferable.

Come and join us in the beautiful Bulkey Valley! Our farm is situated 20 min from Smithers in the beautiful Bulkley Valley.
We grow a large organic vegetable garden, have 6 horses (who are pets and can not be ridden), 2 steers, 3 dogs and 2 pet potbelly pigs :) WE hope to provide you with some of the Canadian rural lifestyle you may be looking to experience. There is two houses on our property, one accommodated by my parents (in their 50's Mom's an amazing cook and Dad is a highly skilled woodworker) an... more inside

Skeena Meadows is a 685 acre property situated in the Coast Mountains on the famous Skeena River. We provide lodging for sporting enthusiasts who enjoy the finer things in life while in pursuit of wild salmon, steelhead, pheasant, ducks and geese. The property is a working farm producing hay and market garden vegetables.

We provide released pheasants for guests to hunt with either our dogs and guide or with their own dog. We are looking for individuals or couples to help with gardening, firewood, cutting and general farm duties. We also work with fisheries on a salmon spawning stream that flows through the property.

We are looking for people to start mid-August. The primary focus on the garden and farming with lots of other side jobs to keep it interesting. During our operating season (August - mid November) we will require housekeepers, kitchen help and a hunting assistant.

This is a very beautiful part of Canada and a once in a lifetime adventure!

We have transferred our idea of a petite auberge into mid-nowhere British Columbia. We have a B&B, have cooking classes, host lots of fine dining but also grow some of our food and process a lot of local offerings into products. We are looking for assistance mostly in keeping up with garden tasks (both food and landscape) but you can be called to assist in preparing the B&B room, cooking, serving and processing/canning.

Our season is essentially complete but we welcome inquiries about 2018.

We are a large working cattle ranch in the beautiful Chilcotin region of BC where we raise cattle and horses, as well as a small flock of sheep. We run 1000 mother cows, 150-200 replacement heifers, 80 Bulls, a herd of 20 horses and we currently have 3000 acres in forage production. We do all of our cattle work on horseback the old fashioned way. We are a progressive young couple that own the ranch (35 & 43), and we also have other full time employees year round from cowboys to haying crew, contractors etc. We are not certified organic but we do NOT use chemicals, pesticides or implant our animals with hormones. However, we do have a full herd health program that includes vaccinating our animals from disease and we use antibiotics when necessary. Our ranch is located close to the mountains with a river flowing through the whole property and many lakes nearby. The wildlife in this part of BC is incredible with common sightings of bears, moose, deer, wolves and coyotes. There is alwa... more inside

This is an offering for a wonderful farm stay in a semi-remote valley in Central BC, 50 minutes from Williams Lake.
The farm is home to a small herd of Dexter cattle, three horses, four big friendly dogs, two cats and some chickens. Most of the food is produced on the land here, if you are interested in how to live off the land, this is the place. I am an artist and live mostly outside of the system and in tune with the earth energies. Time does have a different meaning out here.

The accommodation is a Yukon wall tent with a queen bed and a small wood stove in it, it is quite comfy even when it is very cold outside. 5 hours a day for 5 days a week is what I am asking. Food is hearty homemade meals with mostly organic ingredients.

I am looking for one or two helpers starting around the 7th of September to help me prepare things for the winter, like prepping the garden with manure, mucking out small shelters, brush cutting etc ... Somebody with muscle power who knows how to r... more inside
