Currently looking for helpers in August ans September! Come and join us in the beautiful Bulkey Valley! Our farm is situated 20 min from Smithers in the beautiful Bulkley Valley.
We grow a large organic vegetable garden, have 6 horses (4 of which are rescue horses) and provide some of the Canadian rural lifestyle you may be looking to experience. There is two houses on our property, one accomodated by my parents (in their 50's Mom's an amazing cook and Dad is a highly skilled woodworker) and the other by me and my fiance (we are 27 and 30, I work with horses partime and partime in an office, and my better half is an Electrician). Both homes have cat(s) and dog(s) trying to rule the house :) The horses live right outside in the pasture.

Organic Status: organic farm non certified

We operate a small ranch situated in the Cariboo region of BC. Our extended family is nearby and family events and kids keep everyone involved.
We raise grassfed/finished beef on managed pastures using organic methods.(as yet uncertified). We also raise chickens and pigs for family use and maintain a large vegetable garden to produce healthy food for the family and some for market. This summer we are building a new greenhouse.
Helpers would assist with the vegetable garden, barnyard chores, and cattle tending. We move the cattle to new electrically fenced enclosures daily. We also appreciate helpers who contribute something of their own interest.eg. cooking, child care, carpentry.
Our lakeside log home offers comfortable rooms, laundry, internet use, and a piano. We offer room and board in exhange for farm help.
This is great location for an outdoor enthusiast as our semi wilderness location offers canoeing, swimming, and hiking opportunities right from our house. Volunteer... more inside

Organic Status: Not certified, but practice organic principles

Our property is about 75 km North East of Williams Lake (we can pick up helpers at the bus station in Williams Lake). The property is currently being developed for small scale organic market gardening (uncertified but we follow organic methods & principles). We plan to sell veggies, and fruit from our orchard. We are preparing to move out to the property full time, but currently just have two small cabins out there which are used primarily during the summer. We have a large veggie garden, fruit trees and berries, and horses. The property is on a lake, in a beautiful valley which supports an abundance of wildlife. Our lake is in the middle of a chain of 8 lakes, all of which are accessible by canoe. In your time off you can explore the valley, by hiking, biking, canoeing or kayaking. Other things you can do include swimming, fishing and windsurfing. Our helpers typically stay in tents (with a bed) as our cabins are both very small. All of our guests have enjoyed sleeping out in the t... more inside

We are a couple of adventurous, hard-working, fun-loving, permaculture enthusiasts looking to meet similar people who want to help us build our dream. Bulkley Canyon Ranch is a great place to learn about living off-grid with solar power, zero waste systems, and building with salvaged materials. This is a wilderness setting beside Ross Lake Provincial Park and overlooking Bulkley River, surrounded by three mountain ranges. We raise llamas, chickens and ducks, have three dogs and a cat. Help with gardening, firewood, animal care, harvesting of wild herbs and plants, light housework, and trail maintenance will be very much appreciated. We have a young perennial garden (forest garden) already overflowing with berries and fruit trees as well as a vegetable garden. A small greenhouse supports cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes. Rainwater is collected for garden watering, drinking water comes from a well. Several small home-based businesses are in start-up mode - a small campground and insid... more inside

We are a German family and own our place since 15 years. Our kids are living in town and so we are looking for somebody to help us.
We have 70 cow-calf pairs and 10 horses. It would be nice to have some help with fencing, gardening and yard work. If you like horses and all other farm animals as well as working outdoors you might be the right person.
In our spare time we enjoy riding and driving our horses.Maybe you could join us !
Though our area is not very known by tourists, the Peace River Country offers lots of things to see and to do. We got lots of wildlife like moose, bears and deer. While working on our farm, you can really enjoy nature.
There is one thing you should know: we have only dial-up internet connection as we are 50km out of town(Fort St. John)
We look forward to here from you if you like nature and the outdoors more than citylife.

Welcome to Pine Hills Farm, our little slice of heaven in the Canoe Valley! We are a small, non-commercial mixed farm. We have spent most of our lives working to break free of the non-sustainable modern commercial mega-farming model and adopt old time farming practices where one activity supports and benefits another, creating a relatively stable cycle. We’re almost there, and ready to step it up to the next level with the help of some wonderful, inspired and inspiring WWOOFers.
We’re looking for WWOOFers that have what it takes to see the possibilities and are up for the challenge of making things happen FAST! We have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share, a scenic location with lots of opportunities to try new things, have some fun and meet new friends. Comfortable accommodations available in the house, or in our cozy travel trailer if you prefer a bit more privacy.

We are just beginning our first season in our new location so you will learn alongside us (yes, we are ... more inside
