Work with siberian huskies and sled dogs is Northern BC. We moved to the acreage in May 2012 and had and amazing winter with our husky family! Located on the lake in Prince George B.C. we have 22 happy sled dogs. Our dogs are part of the family and are not viewed as work animals. The care of the dogs is my number one priority. They love attention and are happy to have visitors and time to play. I have met some amazing people through volunteers and have made some life long friends. I want volunteers to make themselves at home and enjoy getting to know them. Daily chores include husky massages and love, scooping poop, feeding and providing fresh water, and other daily maintenance. We are also a smoke free home, non-smokers only please :)

More info:
We are located a 45-60 minute drive away from Prince George on 125 acres so you must be comfortable being in the wilderness and away from the luxeries of town. Joe and I work in town Mon-Fri so volunteers are alone at the property du... more inside

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working at a ranch, working or learning to work with horses and who would also enjoy taking care of a variety of other small farm animals. Next to working with our horses and other animals we have different projects that we could certainly use some help with, like:

- making and decorating trails
- building cabins/camp area
- cleaning up the terrain
- fixing things, like house repairments, building and repairing fences and such
- building an out-house
- and many more to think of ;)

We have just moved to a beautiful new location at Highway 16 West, 5 minutes past Moricetown. Our new spot is surrounded by serene white peaked mountains and forested hills. Our new location provides a lot more space and offers lots of opportunities for trail riding and exploring. Relocating a whole ranch with all of its human and animal inhabitants is quite an undertaking, so we are still busy settling in. We are working hard to get the ranch and th... more inside

We operate a small ranch situated in the Cariboo region of BC. Our extended family is nearby and family events and kids keep everyone involved. AT THE MOMENT WE ARE SEEKING A COUPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO GET TO KNOW US AND OUR PLACE AND THEN STAY ON TO FARM SIT SO WE CAN TAKE A HOLIDAY. THINKING ABOUT END OF MARCH AND APRIL 2015
We raise grassfed/finished beef on managed pastures using organic methods.(as yet uncertified). We also raise chickens and pigs for family use and maintain a large vegetable garden to produce healthy food for the family and some for market. This summer we are building a new greenhouse.
In winter there is firewood to haul, cattle to feed, and sometimes fence repairs. We try to get machinery overhauled in the slow season. Helpers must come with warm durable clothing!!!! It can be very cold here.

Helpers would assist with the vegetable garden, barnyard chores, and cattle tending. We move the cattle to new electrically fenced enclosures daily. We also appreci... more inside
