when i first pulled the lever on the machine labeled 'automatic profile maker', all i heard were fart sounds, so i pulled it again, and the handle broke and it just kept spitting out all of this following crap: I am a fine woodworker, a poet, and a freak and a f*%$nut, with an amazing piece of rural property on the Sangan river in northern Haida Gwaii, 100 meters from Naikoon provincial park. I have the beginnings of a beautiful organic garden nestled amongst some old growth cedars, and there is always tons to do in it. lots of general landscaping and forest-sculpting. I also have some sort of building project on the go which of course could always use some helping hands too.
I am a self employed tradesperson, self employed because i don't like working all time, but i do need to make money sometimes, so that means i am not always home, and this means that i don't necessarily expect too much from folks when i'm off at a jobsite. this leaves a few different arrangements between mysel... more inside

We have transferred our idea of a petite auberge into mid-nowhere British Columbia. We have a B&B, have cooking classes, host lots of fine dining but also grow some of our food and process a lot of local offerings into products. We are looking for assistance mostly in keeping up with garden tasks (both food and landscape) but you can be called to assist in preparing the B&B room, cooking, serving and processing/canning.

In particular, we would love someone here from end March to end June to assist us in spring cleanup, early planting and babying frost tender crops into the warmth of July.

*****Looking for Helpers for the coming Summer Season (FEMALES ONLY)******

Hi there,
We are looking for people who want to do 2-3 weeks, maybe longer stays, live on the land and would enjoy the cultural experience of living and working with us and share the sweat, treasures, pain of joys of such life.

We are a small down to earth Canadian-European Family (in our late 40s) there is two older children (adults) and a three year old girl. Our farm is located about 40 - 45min form Fort St. John BC (we can pick helpers up from the Airport or Bus ). We grow as much food as we can. We have chickens for eggs and meat, two retired horses, several rabbits and a large garden for vegetables. This year we are expanding our garden and sell homegrown produce .

We are a family of 4 and live on a small Hobby Farm with some goats, chickens, a dog and a cat.

We'll need help in the spring (April/May) for about 4 to 5 weeks to care for the animals, clean the barn, fix fences, help in the house and the small garden. On average there will be about 2 hours of work a day (lots of time to either find off-farm work or to explore the many outdoor opportunities - http://www.hellobc.com/smithers.aspx). We offer clean accommodation and some meals.

You must be willing to stay for at least 4 weeks, be honest, reliable and independent; non-smokers only and absolutely no drug use! Our place is about 10 km out of town, so you should have a drivers licence (or really like biking).

We are new to helpx, but have been hosting couchsurfers for a few years (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/masatesch).

Located 15km beyond beautiful, unique, and historic Telegraph Creek in the Stikine Valley of NW BC, 3 Sisters is a rustic and gorgeous property of 28 acres. It is situated on unceeded Tahltan (First Nations) Territory.
There is an endless variety of things to do in your off-time, including kayaking/canoeing the Stikine River or nearby lakes; hiking/climbing Glenora Mt. (I live at the base of it) or any number of trails in the area; fishing for salmon in season, trout all year; boating--I've got the boat--sight-seeing/photography, the list goes on.
I'm seeking help as follows: help build my attached greenhouse; minor carpentry work in and out of my log house (with frame addition); minor fencing work; help either fix or tear down our original house (across the creek); build a fish-house; help install my wood-stove-connected hot water system; help maintain--and EAT--the large and productive garden; I could go on, but there is always PLENTY to do in such a lifestyle.

Skeena Meadows is a 685 acre property situated in the Coast Mountains on the famous Skeena River. We provide lodging for sporting enthusiasts who enjoy the finer things in life while in pursuit of wild salmon, steelhead, pheasant, ducks and geese. The property is a working farm producing hay and market garden vegetables. We provide released pheasants for guests to hunt with either our dogs and guide or with their own dog. We are looking for individuals or couples to help with gardening, firewood, cutting and general farm duties. We also work with fisheries on a salmon spawning stream that flows through the property.
