We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with horses, who would enjoy taking care of a variety of other small farm animals. Carpentry experience is also an asset, as there are many fix-it projects around the place to work on.

We are located in a largely forested area with some nice open fields and great trail riding areas just ten minutes out of town of Smithers. Helpers are welcome all year round: We have horses, ponies, sheep, goats, llamas, rabbits and chickens that need to be fed and watered every day. Catching, brushing and saddling up horses for the trail rides is your mission as well as handling young horses to get them used to people.

If you are already a horse person, that's great, if not we will help you at the beginning until you become confident around them. We have taught many people how to ride here.

We expect 5 hours of work per day in exchange of food and accommodation, but the schedule is pretty flexible. Basically, you'll help feed the a... more inside

Cattle Ranch
We run a 500 Head Cattle ranch in the Cariboo area.
Depending on the season, there are many jobs we could use help with on the place. Throughout the year we feed cattle, brand, irrigate, put up hay,do general maintenance on fences, equipment, buildings, work cattle, and occasionally...relax!
You would have the opportunity to spend time in the great natural environment, and the likelihood of seeing wild animals is great. There is a variety of jobs, and what you end up doing will depend on your willingness, experience, and the season.
The Cariboo is a beautiful place and we encourage any visitors to take in some of the area while they're here.

We are a family of 3, my children are 12 and 13 and we live on a farm 30 min drive from Prince George. Primarily

I stay very busy, I work as an electrician and a logger in the winter.
So we try to work at the farm after work, clearly, we need independent helper to work some hours to :

In winter, feeding horses and cattle, stoking the wood stove, maybee even some office help.

Fencing, building repair, cleaning workshop, home tasks..

Mid of July, it's hay season, so help to grease farm equipment and stack hay bales would be wonderful.

Each year, at the beginning of August, my son and son plan a horse trip into the mountains near the Yukon, for 3 - 4 weeks.
We'd like to share this experience with 1 or 2 persons.

Some cooking and Cleaning would be welcome as well.

In exchange of meals and your own private 70' mobile home

Our family lives on a beautiful ranch in BC's interior region. The ranch is located along a chain of lakes in a pristine valley. We are 15 minutes from the community of Big Lake and 45 minutes from the City of Williams Lake. My husband and I have two small children and are focusing our efforts on organic food production.

We are in great need of some help with the house and children for this winter. We need help from January to April to help look after two gorgeous little boys while I work part time.

Winter on the ranch is beautiful and the snow and cold weather do not slow us down. We do lots of skiing, sledding, ice skating (needing help building the rink!), skidooing, and outdoor fires.

We are looking for a single woman or a couple who are interested in a peaceful winter in the country, and who love kids.
