The farm is located 50km north of Williams Lake, B.C. This small city has a population of about 12,000 people. We usually make one trip to Williams Lake each week to deliver produce, shop, and attend to business items. The bus stops at Williams Lake and also at McLeese Lake about 10 km away. Our land is on the large Fraser River which reaches the Pacific Ocean at Vancouver, B.C. about 500km downstream.

We grow a variety of vegetable crops, raspberries, currants, and have 60 fruit trees (mostly apple). We press most of the apple crop for juice which is frozen for sale throughout the year. We have also culture apple cider vinegar from some of the apple juice and sell this at local stores. At present, we have no farm animals but a dog.

The crops are sold fresh at the farmers co-operative store in Williams Lake and at the farm gate. Some may also be preserved in glass jars, frozen, or dried for later sale.

We are older farmers who have lived here for almost 30 years. We need ... more inside

Our dogs are part of the family and are not viewed as just work animals, they are our loved pets :) They sleep in our beds, they beg at the kitchen table and they snuggle on the couch. The care of the dogs is my number one priority. They love attention and are happy to have visitors and time to play. I have met some amazing people through volunteers and have made some life long friends. I want volunteers to make themselves at home and enjoy getting to know them.
