Welcome to the Northern Territory.

Currently in need of help.

We have 2 properties, one is in Batchelor's township the other is about a 10 km drive away in the beautiful Finniss Valley.

Is where we live, here we have some organic fruit trees, vegetables, exotic plants and bamboo's. Volunteers are welcome to stay in a spare room or experience sleeping on a bed with a mozzie net under the rear veranda.

Is in the bush with the wildlife. Volunteers and ourselves have been improving the property over the last several years. Volunteers are welcome to stay at our rural property or travel there with us to assist with some of the work. There is many opportunities to develop and improve your skills at this property. We are building, rehabilitating and managing this parcel of land in the Northern Territory. Many thanks to the people who have contributed so much here already.

We are very keen gardeners, love our children and animals. We are Busy raising two children, 9 and 11 years of age, who are full of energy and tricks. They will want to get to know all our guests. The children also have a large family of guinea pigs & a Australian cattle dog.

Breakfast & Dinner, Bed etc. will be provided. Guess what? You will be sharing the barn with our pets. (just kidding) & sometimes you will be cooking and if you like camping out the opportunity is there. This is your chance to experience our lifestyle in a small Territory town and it's rural surrounds. So what we would like is help between our properties 5 to 6 hours per day, (depends what's happening) the jobs are flexible and the tasks are varied to suit each person. Extended stay is possible after the first few days. (see how we all get along) We prefer persons that LIKE to work, who are INDEPENDENT & CAREFUL along with a CAN DO or will at least try ATTITUDE, (As we will not spoon feed you)... you must be CLEAN LIVING, Fit and Healthy. Know how to use initiative, are positive, practical and self motivated. You will need to be able to work at times unsupervised. No "Lazy Bones" or "Slackers" need apply, as we are not a holiday camp. You must be able to get yourself out of bed so we can start early. 7.30 am
SO WHAT WE DO NEED is volunteers that are GENUINE/SERIOUS/COMPETENT, take pride in their work & are READY to help us. We are a busy family with alot of chores.

Virtually has everything - Home to Australia's only Indigenous College with a Library and Internet Access for 1 hour (Friday's & Sunday's), Health Clinic, Public Pool, Tourist Information Center, Tavern, General Store, Post Office, Police Station, Butterfly Farm and Beautiful Parks.

Batchelor is 100 kms south from Darwin, so if you come by car you can visit nearby beautiful Litchfield National Park to get the best experience.

Your Internet Modem or Mobile Phone needs to be connected with Telstra's Regional Network, as this is the only service that is available in Batchelor, along with most regional areas in Australia. Unless you have a Satellite phone as they work just about everywhere.

We receive many emails from volunteers wishing to stay with us. So if you are accepted and make a booking with us please live up to your word and show up! You can expect a bad review from us if you don't come without notice, as you are essentially taking the opportunity from someone more reliable, who would have actually turned up. Sorry to say this, but we have been let down a few times by volunteers in the past.

* We will respond to all emails.
* We do appreciate a little notice in advance, so please do not expect to come immediately.
* Proof of your current travel Insurance policy is essential on arrival.
* You will need to know how to put in your "heart & soul" to tasks. (that means to stay interested)
* Please no fussy eaters. If your in need of treats or special foods, please bring your own.
* Volunteers best have a good level of English to communicate effectively.
* Give us a phone call if you like.

Perhaps we will see you soon in beautiful Batchelor.

1. Township house.
2. Rockpool at Litchfield Park.
3. Backyard garden.
4. Litchfield Park.
