My property is sitting on 4 acres of garden and is very peaceful. We have an organic, and semi organic garden, bordered by a river and two ravines and is situated in the middle of section 5 of the Dominica's Waitukubuli trail. We are 45mins from the capital Roseau and a mile and a half from the village of Castle Bruce. To get to the sea is a healthy 25 minutes walk. Wireless access to the internet is available if you bring your laptop/ipad/phone.

Take a 6-10 minute bus ride to the Emerald Pool, which is one of Dominica's most photogenic destination. Only 15-20 mins in the other direction is the kalinago territory which is most commonly known as the Carib Territory and is well known for their basketry skills, that have been passed down through the generations.

This is truly a nature paradise for every level of hikers. Waitukubuli National trail is the only long distance trail in the entire Caribbean consisting of 14 segments ranging in difficulty. The entire distance is 115 mile hike with a chance to relax at one of the 7 attractive waterfalls or dip into one of the splendid 82 river crossings.

My website is an information website about Dominica which is situated between Guadeloupe and Martinique with Barbados far east of us.

Please Note: Dominica and Dominican Republic are not one and the same.

I am in the process of re-building my home and at the same time cultivating and developing a small farm.

The work here is varied. The farm jobs includes weeding, planting, trimming, pruning, cocoa and coffee picking, making raised beds and transplanting organic vegetables.

Helpers with the following skills are welcome:
carpentery, construction, farming, gardening, landscaping and general handy person. Knowledge in solar heating for the future
would also be a bonus to me. In exchange for work of say 6-8 hours a day you get accommodation and food mostly produced from the land. Please bring a tent or hammock as I have lost half my home following hurricane Maria which devastated the island. I am still in the process of re-building .

There are oranges, grapefruits, guavas and vegetables to your delight when in season. In the evening you relax to one of Alick's herb tea grown around the property, not forgetting a friendly family atmosphere.

No drugs or excessive alcohol consumption allowed. This is NOT the place for 'party crowds'.

Help is needed from now onward. If you are considering staying with us, do contact me as soon as possible.
Hoping to hear from you soon.

Leontyne and Alick
