We are a family of 6 from Dutch descent, running a holistic organic farm producing a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, olive oil, apple juice and eggs. We mainly direct sell through our CSA program and at the local farmers markets. We run a busy life trying to do too much, but we love it so very much that we love some help.

Activities offered: Lots of things, from sowing, thinning and weeding in the greenhouse, to thinning, & harvesting apples or harvesting and grading cherries and apricots in our commercial orchard, to feeding chickens and cleaning their eggs, or helping us with sustainable building projects (at the moment we require a new chicken tractor and want to transform our old sofa into an art project under one of our trees). We also have a tree felling project for someone skilled in using saws carefully and appropriately.

We have an A-frame sleep out which sleeps 2 to 3 people or an off the grid semi-self contained cabin.

We ourselves eat as much as possible from our own gardens, live in a straw-bale house that still needs finishing, but is very cosy, and are semi-self sufficient in our energy. We live 6 km out of Greytown (a lovely town 80 km's from Wellington, the capital of New Zealand). Your own transport would be handy, if you like to be flexible, but is not essential.
