We have an eco home in a multiple award winning Eco village. It is in a beautiful valley only 10 min by car to the beach. There's lots of space to walk, run and get back to nature. We have a pushbike that can be used. We require help around the home, (e.g gardening, mulching, property maintenance, weeding, window cleaning, home maintenance) and sometimes in other areas of the village. We do need some painting done, anyone with that skill? We eat a mainly vegetarian/vegan diet. Shared cooking and non smokers please. If you're a couple applying, you will need to bring or buy some food to help with costs. We have our 2 daughters living at home, 21 yrs and 23yrs. You will sleep in our loft; it's a cosy space; it's small and has a ladder to access it. Or you can bring your tent to set up. We live a sustainable lifestyle, so composting, recycling and gardening are big parts of our life. In the village, there are yoga classes, Qigong and meditation classes on offer every week in the hall for a reasonable fee. There's a gym in the community centre with classes too. There's a cafe open 5 days a week where residents catch up over a cuppa. A shared swimming pool, library and pizza oven are in the community facilities. There are no cats or dogs in the eco village but there are lots of kangaroos and wildlife. Please reply with a detailed message about yourself. We love positive, happy people who love the outdoors and those that enjoy work. bye for now....

Some comments from previous helpers:
Thank you for our awesome time in your special home. Thanks for inviting us to Jade's birthday party. Thank you a lot for the great tours, the canoeing, the boxing training, tours to the tip to pick up building materials and the great food. You made our Australian trip awesome.

I appreciate that you gave me a chance to stay with your family. I don't know how to thank you more than this but I hope you know I had a really great time with you. Always b happy.

I think I had a very interesting cultural exchange. I have definitely learned a lot about Aussies, your lifestyle and myself. Thank you for motivating me to be vegetarian. I loved being a part of your gorgeous happy family. Thank you Will for treating me as one of your mates and making jokes.

To anyone new, you are very lucky to come to this house. Staying with this family was the best experience I've had since I came to Australia. Not only because they are very nice and charming but they have a great attitude of taking care of the environment. I was highly motivated by their eco-friendly lifestyle and this was just one of the good reasons to stay here. You can easily find others. Hope you have a great time.
