If you would like to volunteer, it helps us a lot (and will score a few brownie points for you) if you can fill in our volunteer application form , via our 3rd website link above.

We're a small intentional community with the purpose of exploring sustaining ways of living for the 21st Century.

Do you have a background in organic vegetable gardening? Permaculture? And we're always open to experienced carpenter/maintenance people!. Do you love cleaning? Lots of jobs that really help are available and waiting to be noticed!

We are looking for enthusiastic people who not only want want a "break with a difference" but are truly interested in what community living involves.

As we're a relatively small community on a complex property, you won't necessarily have someone working alongside you - we all have our particular roles and responsibilities. But we do get together at many points for food, fun and work. Do join us!

This is an opportunity to experience the Sunshine Coast with locals, as part of a community, whilst exploring what may contribute to a more sustainable world.

Our community has thriving vegetable gardens (which can always do with help!), have ongoing projects (which can always do with help!), eats together and shares resources and tasks. We have a well-stocked library and pantry, we're friendly and non-sectarian, and volunteers and visitors are always welcome.

Part-Time Volunteer options are available according to beds - although Full-Time positions are very limited. Hours are flexible (18hours/ week for Part-Time and 30 hours/ week for Full-Time).

We provide comfortable bunk room accommodation (which you can upgrade to a private ensuited room for extra cost, if you wish) and vegetarian meals (and can cater for special dietary requirements) as well as the opportunity to experience being part of a growing community. On the Part-Time Volunteer Program volunteers pay $160 for the initial 2 week stay ($16/day with 2 day discount for full week) as a household costs contribution.

We need a minimum commitment of 2 weeks up to 28 days (if we all get along the community can invite you to stay longer).

Apart from the beauty of Bellbunya itself, we are close to some of the most beautiful parts of the Sunshine Coast - the stunning beaches and national parks of Noosa, the world famous Eumundi markets and the charming hinterland villages of Kenilworth, Pomona, Cooroy and others.

On this beautiful rural property we have vegetable gardens, wildlife corridors, a creek and lagoon, a conference hall and commercial kitchen/dining and accommodation for about 15 guests, and often several volunteers. Excess solar power is fed to the grid and the property then purchases 100% renewable energy. We have internet access and telephones for use in the community house (no WiFi). Other facilities include a large toolshed/workshop, community house with shared office space, library, hall with cinema.

Depending on who's home, community interests/skills include sustainability, music, alternative health, Permaculture and organic farming, cooking, green building, information technology, community development, spirituality, yoga, meditation. Come and learn and share your skills with us.

There are regular jobs and some more varied according to the time of year. From path sweeping to gardening and building maintenance and renovation, from lawn mowing to cleaning, all contributions are deeply valued. Cooking is always a winner! Your smile and sense of humour are also hugely valued.

According to accommodation available at the time, we welcome families as well as singles. No illegal drugs. No smoking or alcohol. We can pick you up from Eumundi (which is 13km away) by prior arrangement.
