Hey guys!

***** We are looking for awesome volunteers to start mid October*****

We are a fun, friendly hostel in Kyleakin at the base of the Isle of Skye. The hostel is open all year round and we are always in need of helping hands to keep the place clean, tidy and welcoming for our guests. Skye entices many different travellers, and we have the opportunity to enjoy their company and make their accommodation a great part of their adventure.

So what's the deal?
We are looking for volunteers to join our team up on the beautiful Isle of Skye. We ask that you help us for 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. In return you will receive free accommodation, free breakfast, free laundry and 5 per day for food. You also have one day off per week which is yours to go and explore the island.

Our hostel has two houses which accommodate both independent travellers and people on tours of the island. Although we are busiest in summer (full every night!) we have guests all year round and strive to offer the best standards to everyone who stays with us.

Kyleakin is a small but captivating village that offers beautiful views, friendly people and is only a short bus ride from the mainland. There is a small shop in the village and a larger supermarket just across the bridge in Kyle of Lochalsh. Venturing up the island is easily done by bus or hitch hiking.. or a combination of both! Many of the locals are understanding of the restrictions of public transport and are more than happy to offer a lift to both travellers and people staying a little longer.

We love our helpers to be just like us - outgoing, interested in travel and have a healthy love for the outdoors! We often try to help connect people who would like to explore the magical isle together.

If all of this sounds good to you, get in contact with us as soon as you can. We are always looking for staff but our busiest months are from April to September. Although we know helpers often have bigger plans for travel and we usually ask for a minimum of two weeks, keep an open mind as you may find a home away from home that entices you to stay longer!

Getting here:

You can get to the Isle of Skye by Citylink Bus (which takes you just about to our door) or by train to Kyle of Lochalsh where you can choose to either walk the bridge, catch a bus or take a taxi to get to Kyleakin.
P.S. Bring warm/waterproof clothes.
