Great food and friendly hosts in the heart of the Southern Alps. In fact we are even on the Te Araroa Trail yet are less than 2 hours from Christchurch, Greymouth or Hokitika. Public transport via West Coast Shuttle operates 7 days a week from Christchurch to Greymouth return each day - check out their website http://www.westcoastshuttle.co.nz/

Geoff and Renee and our wee dog Maggie welcome you to share their home in the village of Arthur's Pass surrounded by the forest and peaks of Arthur's Pass National Park. Arthur's Pass is a good location for walking, mountaineering, skiing, snowboarding and enjoying nature. Our homestay website is shown above.

**We are looking for helpers with to assist with repairing a shed as well as clearing our section. Be prepared to pop a raincoat on to work in the rain**

Amongst other things, we bake our own bread, chocolate puddings and make our own pizza.
There will be plenty of time for walks and adventures in Arthur's Pass National Park.

Geoff is an environmental campaigner currently works as a strategic advisor to Forest & Bird (a New Zealand NGO) and has also been involved in Search and Rescue. Renee works locally and has a background in the Union movement and Social Justice and has joined the local fire fighting crew.
You can find out more about us by looking us up on Trip Advisor (see our second website link above).
Non-smokers only please, having had a serious house fire we are very careful not to have another one!

Please note: The mountains can be a dangerous place, in a village of 30 residents local Search and Rescue is stretched to the limit. Our policy for all guests in our home is to require details of what walks you are doing and establish a panic time where we call the Police if you do not return by that time. If this is a problem for you please do not request to stay with us.

Respect for the mountains is important where we live.

NB Bring some broccoli for Maggie, she will love you for it.
