The Lodge has just opened for the New Season and we are looking for helpers with HOUSEKEEPING, GARDENING AND SOME PAINTING.

Beautiful river front historic Lodge with cottages, Gypsy Caravans and Safari Glamping Tents. There are great water views, majestic trees and plentiful bird life.

We are looking for HelpXers who are hard-working, flexible and willing to do a variety of jobs (eg. cleaning, bed-making, gardening, painting etc) as needed.

Arrangement: five good hours a day, five days a week. Minimum stay 2 weeks. In exchange we offer free accommodation linen included, with use of Central Facilities Block with well-equipped kitchen. You are responsible for your own food, which we occasionally supplement with some veggies/staples/muffins. We also offer free internet and free kayaking.

Local Activities: The Lodge borders the start of a walking trail to the historic Stone Store and the trail continues on to two waterfalls including Fairy Pools and Rainbow Falls. We have kayaks for kayaking on the river - 20 minutes to the Stone Store Basin or 5km out to sea. Kerikeri is also a great place to stay to explore the Bay of Islands - about 45 minutes to the north is the beautiful (and less touristy) Matauri Bay and 25 minutes to the south east is the picturesque (and more touristy) Paihia.

Local shops and supermarkets: Pagoda Lodge is a 5 minute drive to the Kerikeri main street which offers two supermarkets, post office, lots of shops (including opp shops), cinema, as well as many cafes and restaurants. If you want to walk into town it is an approximately 20 minute walk (there are a couple of routes).

When you write to us: please let us know your skills and strengths and preferred dates (2 week minimum stay). Let us know if you have your own vehicle or if you would be arriving on the bus. Please also include your mobile number. Thank you.

If this arrangement suits you, we look forward to hearing from you!
