We can offer independent and fully self contained accommodation. We live approximately 10 minutes walk from the historic town of Opotiki.

Our comfortable sleep out is to the rear of our property. Opotiki is on the east coast of the North Island with beaches on both sides of the township. Opotiki is a pretty laid back town, with opportunities kayaking, surfing, bush walking, fishing etc. There is also heaps of Maori culture and history. We both have health issues, which limits us quite a bit. So we are not much company, especially in the evenings. We are looking for helpers for various types of work, this may be building, painting, gardening, housework/cooking,but mainly gardening, this will depend on what is needed at the time. The accommodation can be rented as well. We would normally expect an honest and good 3-4 hours work, per person, per day, but We are very flexible with the hours of work, depending on the individual, mostly unsupervised, and in return we will provide food and accommodation. The day usually starts at 8.30 am for breakfast and a chat about our cultures etc.Free days are also given we can always compromise. Sometimes you may need to cook your own meal but we will provide food most times. Feel free to stay as long as you want.We may be able to assist you in securing a job in the pack houses, or other kiwifruit jobs. The kiwi season starts around the end of march.
