We are a small, privately owned organic farm located in a village near Stara Zagora City, in central Bulgaria.
The farm sits in a beautiful valley nestled between two mountains. A river flows through the open plains, making it a perfect spot to go fishing. A short trip up the mountain picking fruits, mushrooms and herbs also makes for a wonderful experience. The location is ideal for outdoorsy types, who enjoy a little adventure and don't mind taking up on a challenge.
Things you can do in the area:
Twenty minutes drive away from our house is a horse riding base, offering rides for each level of experience. In case you get tired of village life, you can always hop over to Stara Zagora, which offers most 'big-city' aspects you might have been missing. Nearby therea are also some mineral water springs and old traditional mineral baths. Two hours drive from the village is the Bulgarian seaside.
A bit about me and my family:
The farm is owned and operated by my family. My mother manages our potatoes and cabbage plantations. My grandfather has organized a charity organization aimed at helping the local gipsy population, who sustain themselves by managing different crops and pastures. I am currently a student living in Seoul, but in summertime I like coming back home to enjoy some peace and quiet and try to help the place I love.
Your responsibilities:
During your stay you can experience a typical Bulgarian farm in operation. You will have the opportunity to participate in whichever activity you find interesting. The most important part is that your work will bring value to the local community and give you the chance to experience a very different and unique culture.
We would be happy if you can help us for around 3 hours a day either with the crops and tending to the animals or if farming is not entirely your thing with cooking and cleaning around the house. In returnwe offer accommodation and delicious home-cooked meals, depending on the season (naturally all produce is organic).
As for the period of stay, we are looking for helpers for July and August.
I am a helpxer myself and had amazing experiences so far and now I am very excited to be able to offer an, hopefully, equally exciting experience for you.

If you have any questions feel free to email me. Soon we are going to post more pics!
