WE ARE NOW TAKING BOOKINGS FOR 2018, and welcome enquiries for accommodation from now onward.

We are a relaxed couple who prefer people who have pa little life experience, who have lived away from home, and are used to helping.. As stated we are easy-going and enjoy Helpex persons and passing on the experience of what we have learned over the years.
We love people who can work unsupervised; & with the ethos, if you see something needing to be done, go ahead and do it, you can't be wrong.

Our place consists of 1.5 acre smallholding in West Cork close to the sea, mountains, lakes and woods; in one of the most scenic areas of Ireland.
Our land is put to mixed use; which includes orchard, raised vegetable beds and garden with a poly-tunnel's most of the food is locally sourced.

Help is required with up-keep and improvements to the land & house. Preference will be given to those with skills that suit these goals, however we really like people who are willing to help. As you will see from our photos we love animals and have quiet a few very friendly ones.

We ask for approx 4 to 5hrís a day, a little extra to help Mark when he is off as he works odd hours. We make up extra time off.
We ask for willingness to help and learn and to assist in the tasks as requested; some will include helping Bee. The ability to get on with work allocated or work unsupervised. Work includes household chores, gardening/weeding planting, watering of plants in both tunnels and around the property. Feeding the animals, egg collection, In autumn harvesting and processing of food.

All helpers are required to assist with the preparation of meals for the entire household. We have a strong policy of taking more mature helpers, who have a good comprehension of the English language both written/spoken.

You need be an animal lover as we have a variety of dogs, pigs, chickens and a cat. We advise you bring old clothes for outdoor work; we provide training in equipment used and safety protection equipment where necessary.

We are approx 1.5km from the closest shop or pubs, and 12km from Bantry; however the area is beautiful with plenty of walks/hikes we are less than 2km from the sea. There is access to the internet.

Accommodation is provided in the form of a self contained flat, with good food, mealtimes may vary due to work commitments; we are not vegetarians. There is always a great selection of produce from the garden and tunnels you will never be stuck for choice in foods.

A little insight on the region/animals; Picture 1. Is one of the many amazing sunsets. 2. The poly tunnel early in the season. 3.One of the dogs after a dig. 4. Percy our KuneKune pig 5. View of the region 6. Finally one of the nearby beaches the dogs love.
