Welcome to Millaa Millaa which is situated on the southern end of the Atherton Tableland, 97km from Cairns and 55km from Innisfail. As the farm is 3,000 feet or 891m above sea level the climate is very pleasant with little humidity and temperature is rarely above 25 degrees Celsius. Average rainfall is 120 inches per year which is why Millaa Millaa is famous for waterfalls.

We have a small farm, 129 hectares (320 acres) and beef cattle are our main industry. We breed cattle and fatten steers. We also breed Border Collie dogs and stock horses.

We welcome any one to come and stay.

There are many interesting places to see and visit close to Millaa Millaa both on the Atherton Tableland and in Cairns and Mission Beach.
Renovations to our house are almost finished; it is a large Queenslander with 7 bedrooms so there is plenty of space. We have internet access. The farm is less than 1km from town and about 2km from Millaa Millaa falls where you can safely swim. We have several quiet horses that can be ridden if you are a reasonably competent rider. Also have a quad bike.

Down in the rain forest below the house a family of scrub turkeys live; we have also seen a tree kangaroo and a couple of dingoes.

I have down loaded pictures of our farm and surrounding areas. Picture 1 shows a help exchange guest in front of the Millaa Millaa Falls. This beautiful waterfalls is only a 10 minute walk from our house and you are able to swim in the pool at the foot of the falls. Picture 2 is our house. Picture 3 is a helper standing by acorn crop near Atherton. Picture 4 is cattle in our paddocks. Picture 5 is a tree kangaroo about 300m from our house. Picture 6 is an Amethystine python, non poisonous but love eating puppies. This one we relocated away from our house and puppies.

Time spent with us is eligible to count towards an extension of your visa for a second year. We have enjoyed the company of many visitors and look forward to seeing you soon, Rahmah and Don.
