No longer able to accept smokers because of health reasons.
Currently looking for helpers for the farm at Bremer Bay only.
Thank you to the helpers in the last five years that have had a stay, your company has been so enjoyable with many wonderful exchanges, so many wonderful memories as well as the start of some fantastic friendships. Enjoy your travels in this amazing country or where ever they take you.

The lake has unexpectedly filled up with quiet a lot of water so there are a number of issues to sort out in this area which you may find interesting. We will start restocking the lake with a number on different things shortly.

The Rarge on Brockman project in Pemberton just needs some finishing off in a few areas for the time being, meaning some time in Pemberton with trips to complete items and then time at Bremer Bay which is warmer and less rainfall than Pemberton.

The island project from the earthworks is completed and now the fun part in landscaping, this will provide a haven for bird life to rest and nest away from the foxes and wild cats.

You should be aware that from time to time we do bait for foxes and wild cats as part of protecting our wildlife, the baits we use are 1080 and completely harmless to native wildlife. Foxes and cats were introduced to this country during white settlement and have caused untold damage to our wildlife..
We are starting to prepare for planting at the moment which maybe something different that you haven't experienced.

The aquaponics system has taken a fall, well more like a crash, urgently needs some attention so in the future hopefully it will provide a great source of fresh vegetables as well as some fish or yabbies

The two locations could not be more different and would give you a great look at two parts of this state as well as the country in between. Great weather to go camping but definitely needing that fire of a night to sit around and watch the stars while we exchange our stories.

Being so close to the coast at the farm means, it keeps you cool in summer but also warmer in winter. The rainfall is only 600mm per year at the farm and some of that is summer rain so some really wonderful weather ahead.
The farm rainfall is actually a lot less than Perth with temperatures being cooler in the warmer months and warmer in the cooler months.

We do everything on a shared basis and everyone is equal. We like to get out and experience our surroundings with helpers as part of our cultural exchange. Happy to sit and talk with a glass of water or wine, helping you with your English if you need it as well as hearing your story. Everybody has a story to be told and shared with others, it just needs to be heard.
Both location have plenty to offer with the tall trees at Pemberton as well as numerous national parks to explore. The beautiful beaches at Bremer Bay, as well as National Parks to explore walking, canoeing, cycling.
You will have the opportunity to learn to drive a quad bike or if you need to learn to drive a car the farm is an excellent place to learn and practice your skills without having to worry about other vehicles. There is tractor work to be done which will improve your skill level to create opportunities in your future travels.
Buying a car can be difficult, At Pemberton I have a fully functional vehicle workshop so if you need help with your car or help to buy a car I can assist you without profiting from the advice or from you. I also have a few old cars I'm working on which may interest you to learn some new skills.
Internet and mobile phone available at both locations (via the phone network at Bremer Bay.) Telstra network customers have full coverage at the farm to access calls and the internet however the other networks struggle at the farm although most work in Bremer township. At Pemberton I can provide free unlimited internet to you however at the farm its through your phone network.
Hope to hear from you, if not enjoy your travels.
