Looking forward to meeting a great group of new friends in 2019, will you be one of them?

Its a whole new world at Winning Ways! Visitors find there is much to see and do. If you are interested in horses, cows, ranching, equine education of any sort, or life in general, Winning Ways is the right place. Winning Ways helps folks find out more about the world and themselves. It's a gate to a whole new world - all you need to do is walk through.

We enjoy hosting visitors from around the world and across the country. We would be glad to show you rural Western Canadian hospitality and culture. We like to have our volunteers stay for 4 weeks minimum, if they are interested in working on the ranch. However, if you only have a short holiday planned, we will try to accommodate helpers who may wish to stay for less than a month.

Winning Ways is home to about 80 commercial cows, their calves and 20 head of horses. The equine venture consists of many school horses, various types of tack and equipment for lessons, trail rides and Equine Assisted Learning.

We raise cattle for sale as beef. The horses are used for equestrian education as well as ranch work. We appreciate having volunteers come in early spring, condition the horses, get fences fixed, learn about the cattle and then stay for the calving season if this fits into their plans. Experienced riders with IEC visas may be able to earn money during their stay.

Please have a look at our website, listed above, to see what happens at Winning Ways.

We welcome those looking for an opportunity to learn more English and experience rural Western Canadian culture. We do require a certain level of English competency from our helpers for their own safety. If you are learning about animals AND the English language at the same time, you can misunderstand our warning about an animal and find yourself in grave danger.

Pictures below: We ride our horses in all seasons and for many reasons--branding in the spring; searching for cows, even in the winter snow; on summer cattle drives; in fall riding lessons and on a November Cattle Drive.
