This is a art studio and cabin retreat located in the woods on the Bruce Peninsula. Help with gardens, hiking trails, art studio and rental cabin housekeeping. Rural property surrounded by woods on the Bruce Peninsula, where we have our art studio, home, rental cabin and gardens. We are open May to Oct. Minimum stay 2 to 3 weeks if possible but we are always flexible. The Bruce Peninsula is a UNESCO World Biosphere location, with many varieties of wild orchids, the Niagara Escarpment runs alongside the eastern peninsula coastline ( we are 2.5 km to water), the National Park is located 20 minutes north of us, and Tobermory, a scuba diving centre is 30 minutes north of us. The Bruce Trail offers incredible hiking, the waters of Georgian Bay are pure and turquoise in colour, and there is good swimming on the Lake Huron (West coast) side of peninsula. We are looking for people who would be excited in helping out in an active art and naturalist environment. Accommodation is in our bunky at back of studio (separate building to our house). We have 2 dogs, a variety of wildlife (including black bear, coyotes, eagles, bobcats and more altho it is unusual to see a bear). Both Lin and Carl are artists, painters, clay work. We hope you might consider coming to stay with us and helping out in the studio, cabin and gardens. Carl also runs a solar and small wind business if you are interested in alternative energy.
