Having spent over 15 years travelling and working overseas, meeting different people and immersing myself in different cultures, I was always amazed by the hospitality I was shown wherever I went. So now it's time to turn the tables and showcase a small part of rural New Zealand to those of you travelling from the far corners of the world.

The property includes a one acre house section with developing orchard and vegetable gardens, a joinery workshop and business and 400 hectares of beef and sheep farm. Accommodation is provided in a fully insulated, Wooden clad and lined sleepout, with shared bathroom in the house. There is also a self contained hut situated on the property available for use if you feel like getting off the beaten track.

There is always plenty going on and seldom a dull moment! With a huge variety of work to undertake, there is something for everyone and great opportunities to get involved and learn some new skills. A little bit of enthusiasm and a "work hard, play hard" attitude and you can't help but enjoy your time here. Especially when you are relaxing in the hot tub at the end of a satisfying day!

Mountain biking is a big part of life here and many afternoons are spent riding, building new trails or tweaking the existing ones for improved flow. There are a couple of spare bikes available if you don't happen to be traveling with your own.

Food is a passion of mine and homegrown ingredients definitely taste the best! Expect to get involved with making your own pizzas and cooking them in the wood fired oven, hand making pesto put on your homemade pasta and eating beef and lamb grown on the farm with fresh vegetables and salads straight from the garden.

I also enjoy fly fishing, tramping and kiteboarding, so even if I'm not free to join you, I can help point you in the right direction to enjoy the outdoors while in the area.
