Non-smokers and non vegetarians are welcome. Sorry, but we do not cater for vegetarians or special diets, or smokers.

We like you to stay a minimum of 5 nights.

We now have a town-based take-away food shop. You may be offered the opportunity to assist in the shop or on the farm

BEE- KEEPING field work is usually not available in Winter months, but the honey workshop operates.

We offer farm forestry work, poultry yard work and homestead and farm maintenance work.

We are located on eastern side of KANGAROO ISLAND, on the main sealed road, between the ferry port of Penneshaw and main town of Kingscote.

We are NOT near the major attractions which are on the mid-south coast, and the south western corner of the island, over 110kms from our farm.

We take our helpxers, who stay more than 5 nights, to tourist spots within a 35km radius of our farm. Otherwise, we recommend that you consider starting with hosts to the south and west of the island before coming to our farm.

If you do not have your own transport, you need to catch the SeaLink bus from the centre of Adelaide to Cape Jervis (about 2 hours), then take the ferry to Penneshaw (just under 1 hour).

Accommodation is a fully self contained caravan with all facilities, suits 1 or 2 people, located beside main farm house. Vehicle parking. Your verandah has clear views to the lagoon, and the miriad of visiting bird life, so binoculars are a good idea. Our shop has an apartment attached with a small guest room.

We ask you to work 6 hour day, and in return, we supply self-contained accommodation, and all basic food.

Workers can choose to join us for main evening meal if desired, or cook for yourself with food we provide. Outdoor gas BBQ available.

The closest grocery and fuel shop is 12km from the farm,

You must have strong outdoor foot-wear, as there are no foot paths on the farm, and farm surfaces may be uneven.

Winter is our 'rainy season', so strong shoes are essential for outdoors. We have 2 excellent 'Op Shops' where you can buy high quality used Winter clothes for about $2.50 per garment.

We can help with good-quality English language tuition if required. Please contact us for further assistance.

Yes, we can sign visa papers if your work and attitude is satisfactory.
