The chateau was acquired to form the base for a small community focused on developing and supporting a range of new technologies. The site is connected to the Global Change Foundation, an organisation that supports new technology initiatives and other projects designed to assist humanity in moving forward in these challenging times. We have been running a very pleasing 'visiting community' experiment here for several years, getting the site set up and ready, doing repairs and some new facilities - and generally getting used to living and working together. We have met a lot of great HelpX volunteers, and a much has been achieved by them! Oh yes, and we have a reputation for near-gourmet food, so you won't go hungry! AND NOTE: the leaking roof (mentioned in one of our last reviwers comments) has now been fixed (needing 80 new slates!)and so things have dried out.

In exchange for bed and board we are looking for willing people with any combination of skills: be you a good gardener, decorator or talented odd job person or someone with energy and willing to try new tasks! You will be welcomed.

By the way, on a geographical note, we are actually closer to London than to Paris! (but there's not much in it!)

So, if you would like to come to a beautiful parkland site, hisotic chateau (with many mysteries), good food and interesting companions this is the HelpX site for you: do get in touch and we can go from there!
