Tangala means Squrirrel in very local language. Farm is located at the west end of the Taurus mountains in the pine and cedar forests, located at 700 meters high from sea level with its cool breeze in hot summer days. It is only 20 minutes away with a nice walk path from old Lycian village, Tlos. The village is surrounded by many spring waters which makes it a habitual area since ancient times. This makes the village very suitable for trekking, bicycling and camping. By vehicle, you can reach at Saklikent Gorge and Fethiye in 30 minutes, to Patara, Kalkan and Kas in 60 minutes.

The owner of the farm, Cem (39) were influenced by the cultural and natural beauty of this region when he was cycling from Istanbul to Antalya. Cem is musician and who played irish-scottish folk music in Europe and Istanbul long years and he is part of blues-rock band in Fethiye region. Some members of his family, friends and old woofer/helpers are often join back to Tangala & shares farm life there, so its a groving community.

After they have bought this land they worked couple of years to renovate the old farm house without touching its unique style. In their farm the closest animals are their cats 'Sis' and 'Kebap' & Golden Retriever dog called "BUBU". Tangala Farm producing goods first for needs of who shares farm life in there. They do their own bread, yogurt, jams, honey, fruits, vegeables, honey etc..

Beekeeping and beekeeping workshops are main focus in farm. Cooking is cooperative both for volunteers and guests. For volunteers and guests there are bungalows to which you reach from the small fruit and vegetable garden. In the old stone-mud house at the entrance of the land, there is common room and kitchen. The bathroom is located outside the house in the land, which is a seperate stone building that they call it a small 'hamam'. There is limitless wireless internet. Smoking is allowed outdoors. There are 4 bycles for common use. Tangala Farm wellcoming specially who is interested beekeeping, eco-farming, permaculture, alternative building, outdoor sports, hiking and rafting, bike-enduro bike, camping-caravan, music, arts, yoga, academics and cooking to share.
