We are a family owned and run cattle and cropping property located in Tambo, Central Queensland. The property is owned and run by the Sargood Family.

We are looking for 1 person or a couple to help around the property with various jobs. Some jobs may include; house, gardening and childcare duties, mustering, checking waters, fencing, yard work and tractor driving.

All mustering is done on horse back and is usually done in two rounds, the first round in March and the second round in August/September. After mustering we will spend quite some time handling the weaners in both the yards and out in the paddock.

We are in the process of preparing our cultivation paddocks to plant sorghum. If you are interested in machinery or driving tractors, we are ready to go and would love to have you.

We acknowledge that some travellers will be new to some tasks we may ask you to complete. However, we are more than willing to teach and show you how to correctly and safely perform these tasks. Hopefully, you will find these new skills rewarding and beneficial should you move onto another rural placement.

We are looking for travellers to stay a minimum of one month so you have an opportunity to try out different jobs and to also get a real taste of what living on a station and the Outback is really like.

Accommodation consists of a seperate cottage located near the house. The cottage consists of one bedroom with queens size bed, laundry, bathroom, kitchen and lounge room.

All meals and accommodation are provided and mobile service with the Next G network is availiable for visitors with their own mobile.

A good level of english is required.

Our families are friendly and happy to welcome visitors into our homes. We are located 14kms from Tambo and would encourage visitors to visit town and participate in local events and activities. Our family also has an interest in Campdrafting, so we may travel to other towns to paticipate in drafts and would love you some along.
