I have a double room in the house available now until 20th septemer. and could do with some handy people who might know a little plumbing and wood work, although the work will be varied, watering the tunnels, minding the chickens and house when I am at work and weeding, weeding and of course weeding!! 20 hrs a week for full board. I'll be doing holiday relief in my shops around the country, and plant fairs, so there will be weeks when I am away, but there will be plenty of people around to help anyone who is staying and anyone who applies should like to have the place to themselves sometimes. The mobile home is occupied by Siorcha who is 24 and Luka who is 11, the little house is occupied by Manus who works at Future Forests. They are all lovely people,
The tunnels up the top only operate part time, but Eleanor and Tiarnan will be around. My Son Jack is the only one at home now, he will help you with the work, he's great fun to be with, speaks fluent French and is learning to play the piano at the moment. My other son Aengus comes home some weekends.
Independant, easy going, liberal minded, unjudgemental people is what we are looking for, we are who we are, this might be 5 star reviews, but it's not 5 star accommodation! If it rains there is mud, bring willies.
We grow medical herbs, so an interest in this area would be good.
I have a large grown up family (there are 5 of them They are all around, in and out) and a busy business life. There are 3 acres here, and we have just bought another 10!! There's a veg and herb garden in the ring fort and 3 tunnels,

We're a pretty chilled bunch, unique in our own way, a bit chaotic. We're happy to welcome like minded folk who are able to help themselves, cooking meals, lighting fires etc. There's veg in the garden and eggs from the chickens, lamb in the freezer and a blackboard for the shopping list. The wifi is in the house. I will like people who can respect my space, keep it clean when I'm not there and know that I could be tired, hungry and stressed when i get home from work.
Other than that this is west cork, an alternative experience. Plenty of alternative scene, beautiful country side, ceili dancing on a Tuesday at one of the local pubs, music in bantry at the weekends and a great market on fridays. We are 4 miles to the nearest shop and pub, one mile from future forests. I can arrange to collect people from cork and there are always lifts about to go places.
