It's Calving season

We are a family run working cattle ranch with a commercial herd of Simmentals and a purebred herd of Charolais. We also have a small herd of horses and a pair of dogs to help work with the cattle. We calve from February through to March. Breeding starts in April so the different herds are sorted out before the spring field work starts in May. Haying starts in July and goes through to September. Then fall field work and bringing the herds home for winter feeding.
The farm house has 8 rooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms. Good home cooked meals will be supplied. Helpers are welcomed throughout the year. We're in the middle of landscaping around the house working on the lawn and planting trees for a future windbreak, We will like to be able to plant a garden again if you don't want to be working with cattle or tractors.
We are found in the beautiful Peace River Country that covers the northeast area of B.C and Northwestern Alberta. This area is known for its Agriculture land for growing crops and grazing cattle. Our Area has many lakes, rivers and hills for fishing, canoeing, hiking, skiing, biking, and riding. we are also not far from the mountains, there are plenty of wildlife nearby such as deer, moose, bear, coyotes, and many birds. Our closest town is a 20 minute drive away for groceries, shopping, walking trails and movie theater. A 2 hour country drive with farms, wildlife, and museums will take you to a city with major shopping centers, casinos, concerts, wall climbing, and anything else your heart may desire. Come in August they're be local fairs and rodeos to enjoy.
