2 small farms turned into the one near the West Coast of Clare. We keep lots of farm animals like cattle, 9 horses (three for riding)we have interest in natural horsemanship!, donkeys, sheep, goats, fowl and sometimes pigs. We produce a wide range of vegetables for ourselves and some for selling. We have two children, went to primary Steiner/ Waldorf school; Frank (18) and Fina(13) and they love having volunteers around the place. Now they go to a local secondary school. We hope you have the ability to adapt to our for most of you different and simple life-style and enjoy farmwork with irregular hours at times, even our time off is irregular most likely on sundays or bad rainy days! We hope that during your stay with us you are willing and able to work as hard as ourselves, it could be tough at times, but you will get a true sense of farming life-style! It is important to realise beforehand that you are a volunteer who gets the opportunity to join into our family home so please do not compare with regular paid work. You should enjoy being active from morning till evening and not be counting working hours. Most important is that you are happy and enjoy your stay with us,... We offer healthy food, wonderful sunsets and rainbows, some irish traditional music, and the possibility to learn more about old style farming and farm-related skills like preserving, jam making, brewing wine, basket making, felting, cheesemaking, bread baking, spinning wool, etc. Hopefully we will start to restore an old thatched farmhouse and we could need your help there as well if you`re interested in old traditional buildings. We insist on adequate insurance, basic english, and please expect only limited computer/internet use (bad connection) Also absolutely non-smoker, not even outside our farm, and very rarely we drink alcohol. If you like to see more about our farm you can look at Facebook page via our facebook web link above. At our farm we rent out a holiday apartment to supplement our income, sometimes help is needed for cleaning in between guests. We`d love it if you have a interest or skill in horse-training and it would be wonderful to have helpxers with Eco-building, woodwork /construction skills. In order to make sure you have read our profile, make sure we find the word shamrock in your application to us.

***we are not able to answer all requests at all times due to bad internet connection and overload, if no respond in a few days time, either try again or look elsewhere, sorry about that ***
