We are a Permaculture School Farm that is in construction where you can learn good skills about building your own house, growing your own food and many other.. We started this project in 2011 and it is almost finished, since then we have been constructed an underground root-cellar and an Eco-Dome house from earthbags, swales, and terraced gardens, rehabilitating a well and an old haybarn, clearing a forest to make a forest garden, and many other cool stuff like designing and starting to build a cordwood hobbit house, planting fruit trees and shrubs, building a terrace and a compost toilet and so on... We are very active people and we welcome volunteers who want to do some action and learn really useful permaculture knowledge.
We teach and design farms from 1 to 50 hectares or eco-buildings strategies for a family sized or even larger public buildings, therefore there is indeed much to learn about this
topics. We also give advice and some homework to future study adapted on
your specific requirements, or plans for a future homestead. We are vegetarians but we use eggs or dairy and fruits and vegetables alike.
Accommodation is either up in the haybarn where we also stay or with the tent since the main house is not yet finished. We kindly ask helpers to stay AT LEAST TWO WEEKS since there is a lot to learn and to do and it is simply not possible to understand all the complexity of this systems in less time than this and also being able to help around the farm. This way you have the chance to learn both theoretical and practical skills.

There is a bus from Baia Mare to Ulmoasa Monday to Friday at 6:30 am from the "Autogara" and one from 2:30 pm from the "Gold Plaza" when you get to Ulmoasa you can come up until the "Camin Cultural" and then there is a steep curved rocky road on the left that climbs directly to our place.

Hope to see you soon on the farm :)
