We are Kim and Linda, a friendly couple who lives on our Huskyfarm in North Sweden. Our farm is located 25 km from nearest town. Public transportation is very limited. We live in the forrest with no seen neighborns. In the evening its dark and quiet, except from sounds of the dogs and other animals in the forrest.

We run a small dogsledcompany with guest from all over the world. We are outdoor pepole and there is our main work, no matter of weather. We have around 36 Alaskan huskies and 1 Bordercolliemix. The huskies lives outside all year rund but our bordercollie "Emil" lives inside with us. Under the winter is our main focus on our sleddogtours with guests. When we have guests at the farm its importat that you are friendly and helpful and treat our guests with respect.

Working with sleddogs is a lot of work both physically and mentally. You really need to love animals and specially dogs. You need to stay relaxed and confident around them in order to be able to work and handle them in a good way. It can get very high energy and intense work, but in a good way if you have the right setting of mind. Working with sleddogs is not a 9-5 work, its 24 hour lifestyle. Every dog has it own personality and a good relationship is the key. To build good relationship its all about how much time you spend and getting to know them. If you need to live by the clock and have a schedule this is not the right place for you. You need to be flexible and work when work is needed.

Winter in North Sweden tempratures often is between -10~ -30 c. To live like this its alot of unwritten rules so everything goes as simple as possible. So in the beginning it can feels like its alot of "dont do this" because its so easy to break/destroy things in the cold of inproper use. But when you have been here a time you see the whole picture and you learn little by little. You start with the simple things. And after that its your will to learn that sets the limit of your work. If you are a quick learner and hard worker you will learn more and get more resposibility.

Our farm is not the right place for comfortable indoor persons or coach surfers or persons who need alot of pepole around them.

Accommondation: You have your own one room wodden cabin, with electricity, waterboiler and microwave and internet. No running water, kitchen or fridge. You can have dry grosserys. Outdoor cold toilett. Shower and washingmachine is in our house. We mostly eat our meals together in the house. But depending on work or other things you may need to eat by your self.
