***Are you a keen photographer or filmmaker? We are looking for visual storytellers to help us communicate what we are doing at the farm with the world. In exchange for your unique perspective and an eye for a good shot, we'll offer you the chance to immerse yourself in an organic, land-based lifestyle, get back to nature and learn about permaculture & small-scale farming! Get in touch!***

Nestled in the green rolling hills where Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire meet, Bronhaul is a peaceful, diverse and abundant place where we are working to regenerate land, people and community... We invite you to come and pitch in and be part of the development here, and lend your creativity, expertise and ideas to the momentum that is growing!

Bronhaul ('Sunny Bank' in Welsh) is a small-scale family farm and permaculture project of 25 acres, where we grow our own food, farm livestock, manage a sustainable woodland and offer four holiday cottages and bell tents for regenerative breaks. We are experimenting with regenerative farming techniques and permaculture methods, and there's always plenty to do and lots going on! Whether it is planting, harvesting, strimming, digging, splitting firewood, building, milking goats or tending to the animals, life is never dull!

We are very close to the best beaches Pembrokeshire has to offer, as well as great mountain biking trails, interesting eco projects and beautiful Welsh towns. Bronhaul is a peaceful & relaxing place to be, with lots of beautiful spots and sunny woodland groves to retreat, picnic or take a well-earned afternoon nap! Between us we are into yoga, trailrunning, cycling, meditation, herbalism, arts & crafts, natural building and sitting around a campfire with music and great company!

It's an exciting time to be volunteering with us, as we enter a new phase! We're finalising a permaculture design for the whole site, which will integrate annual and perennial growing, forest gardens, ponds and water catchment, conservation grazing, bioconstruction and woodland management in a living system, working with the grain of nature. This will be the foundation, we hope, for the two new strands of the Bronhaul Project - an educational project running permaculture, nature connection and food growing programmes for kids and young people, and a CSA, offering a local food source to the community, produced using agroecological methods and permaculture principles.

Generally, we ask volunteers for a four-day work week, leaving three days a week unstructured, to give you time to enjoy the land and the area! This means we work all together for around 7 hours a day, Tuesday to Friday. In exchange for the gift of your labour, we will feed you well, give you a comfortable bed and try to show you the best of what the area has to offer! (It's great if you have a valid driver's licence or your own car so you can be a little more independent!) The coffee pot is always on and there's usually a Victoria sponge cake in the oven!!

We love to hear from volunteers what excites and inspires them, and try to plan the work to make the most of your skills and passions. If you have any particular skills in any area, in anything from welding, bicycle maintenance or woodland management to permaculture, environmental education, online marketing, natural building or horsemanship, we would love to employ them, but if not, just a can-do attitude will do fine! There is always lots going on and work to suit all people! If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know before hand so that we can try to accommodate you.

We look forward to sharing knowledge, cultures, humour and our home with you. There is always something going on around here, and the more people to join the fun, the better!
