This hostel is a new build which officially opened in April 2014. The building consists of two stories. The ground floor has 4 en-suite rooms which can accommodate up to 18 people whilst the first floor is made up of a large function room and two smaller rooms to be used as conference rooms or dormitories, one of which is operational for 12 people.
Slemish Barn is located at the foot of Slemish mountain midway between the picturesque village of Broughshane and the fishing village of Carnlough, in the area known as The Braid in Co Antrim. The project has received funding from the Dept of Agriculture due in part to the capacity of the project to add to the cultural life in the area. The owners have strong links with the musical community and traditional fiddling in particular.
Website is up and running.

We are now looking for someone who will need a good standard of English to answer phone, book guests in, do light cleaning and laundry and manage self service breakfast for guests (no cooking involved). In return this will provide someone the opportunity to be involved in the start up of a business and experience the rich in culture area especially if they have an interest in Irish music.
