We have just bought three homesteads in one village and already have more than 100 fruit trees in them, we are currently to clear the land after years of non use, harvesting and pruning trees, and preserving the produce and have a small amount of totally organic veggies being grown in one garden. We also take feeding the bees seriously, so there are lots of flowers and have just built a natural swimming pond which still needs landscaping around it. All work with be outdoors, none of it is vey heavy work. Myself, my husband Paul, our daughter, 5 cats and two dogs live here, and we are busy people all day long. Paul is a builder by trade who specialises in stone masonry, if you have a particular interest in learning that, I am sure he can help by involving you in one of our many projects. If you would like to stay here, the kind of work we would like you to do is fruit picking, tree pruning, weeding, digging, land clearing, wood cutting and storing. There will be loads of opportunities to learn from me the old fashioned ways of preserving food and how to turn a transit van into a food dehydrator. We ask for 25(ish) hours of work in the sunshine a week in return for bed and board. We have a garden full of organic produce that we need help eating. Accomodation can be either at our house which is the last word in luxury, or if you prefer some privacy, you can stay at our other house, which has a bathroom and indoor or outdoor camping. The villae is 45 kms from the nearest big city and has two well serviced towns 17 kms away. The village has shops, bars, doctor, dentist, bus services and peaceful tranquil setting. Within easy hitchin distance from here are many intersting things to explore: Bulgareia's only canyon, waterfalls, many many caves, rock climbing, forests and lakes. Also we are close to many ancient roman citadels under excavation and the Danube that makes the border between here and romania is also close by, with many wild birds and nature preserves close by too. If all that sounds too much, there are hammocks in the garden to while away the free trime you have.
