Vacancy after 14th November - please contact us.

We are on 40 beautiful acres of land with native animals and a creek. We are 1.5 hours drive west of Melbourne, Victoria. Or a train ride and coach to Daylesford and we can pick you up.
We are also close to public transport to/from Melbourne Tullamarine INT airport by Airport Bus to Woodend.

Please help us with preparing tipi poles, sewing tipis if you are a strong experienced sewer, maybe some strawbale wall repair, rendering, gardening and planting seeds in the new little greenhouse; if you are into wood - helping in the factory with timber bending. Some new planting in our organic veggie patch and we have a Rocket Mass Heater which works in your cabin accommodation.
Also if you are a plumber we need you for some gutter installation, a carpenter to help Don and an electrician or just eco-interested we'd love to share our land and some projects with you.
Lots of native animals and have even seen a few platypus in the permanent creek.
Accommodation will be in our little cob cabin or a tipi - we are 7kms from the tourist town of Daylesford and we have old bikes and helmets if you want to ride.

We eat together in our Straw Bale home - we cook or you cook - whatever suits. Great food and sometimes Don's home made beer.

The Timber Benders is an historical timber bending business using 160 year old machinery to steam bend wood for window heads, car and carriage restoration, drum hoops and other beautiful things. If you are into wood and making things and or design you may be interested to work and talk with Don with the Benders.
We make tipis and have tipis for B+B camping on our property. If you would like to learn about tipis and if you are interested in clay render and making cob or strawbale building come and stay with us.

We are a happy spiritual environmental couple in our 60's. Composting toilets, a grey water reed bed system, and solar power and we like to reuse recycle or pass onto others as much as possible.

Visiting with 2 or so people makes the jobs more fun. But we are OK with single persons. We have a few pushbikes, which need a service but are great fun to ride around the property.
We offer accommodation and good food in exchange for approx 20 hours of work per week. Sometimes we have paid work available after exchange work is done.
We are an easy going spiritual couple - but please no drugs and we prefer non-smokers.
ps some WI-FI access but not a lot. We love conversations with our visitors.
