Bienvenido a Patio Baron!

This is a boarding Craft school mainly focussing on stone. Stonecraft is an important aspect of Mapuche culture and has been practiced for thousands of years. The aim of Patio Baron is to share some knowledge of stonecraft and Mapuche culture with others from around the world and help to keep the tradition alive. You will learn in a friendly environment and have the chance to practice languages and share skills.

Your personal progress in stonework is an important part of your stay at Patio Baron. Your time will generally be divided 50/50 between working with stone and doing other tasks, for example cleaning/building. Motivation & Character is needed as you will work mainly independently. So self discipline is needed. If you seek to have a good time with no work, CHAO!:)

PAtio Baron is in a "quebrada". There is a valley with a stream, surrounded by birds and trees. Though we are quite close from the bus terminal. This is a Oasis in the middle of the city.

We offer you a private cabin with common dorms, kitchen, hot water and wifi. A ideal time to stay is one or two months. If you want to stay less time... well, it will depend on your background and motivation, but not less than 2 weeks.

You can party at any time but with moderation (not all days). You can invite friends as long as you ask permission from the host first. Non- notified visitors will be asked to leave.

N0 HARD drugs are allowed.

To learn more about you and your background, please send some artwork over, however much or little as you like. If you do not have any of your own artwork, please send over some of your favourite art, sculpture and/ or design. And then we can go from there :) and I can also see that you have read to the end ;-)
