We are a family of five on a 7 acre smallholding in a beautiful valley 2 miles from the stunning coastline nr Cardigan in West Wales.
Our children are 8, 12 and 15, two are growing without mainstream schooling and the eldest has chosen school. We have set up a democratic community for children. We are part of a growing movement in the UK for consent-based learning initiatives.
On the smallholding we have sheep, chickens, rabbits, lovely large garden, polytunnel, large pond and streams, fields and woodland.
We are looking for people this coming Feb/March 2020 to help with, and who are interested in any of the following:
DIY at our idyllic orchard cabin
Gardening veggies and flowers
Weeding and path maintenance
Garden and orchard maintenance
Woodland management and logging
Using NVC.
Democratic/child-led education
Childcare and child development
Nutrition and food preparation
General housekeeping

We love eating our own food and looking after the land with care.
This coming Feb/March 2020 we would love help with the following: planting, general gardening, logs, web design, household tasks, general food prep and help, and engaging with the children. If you are interested in coming we like the exchange to include 2 to 3 hours per day (or weekly equivalent) depending on task, 5 days per week. In return we can provide a big warm welcome, accommodation in our beautiful cabin, provide wifi, and you will be in a wonderful part of the world just by a wild rugged coast.
You will have your own kitchen at the cabin and we would prefer you to cook for yourself (unless you'd like to do more hours and cook for the family as well, then we'll buy the food.) We can help you get to the shops to buy your own food. Occasionally eating together would be something we'd enjoy.
Also for short stays in March we can offer a room in our house and will be happy to exchange 4 to 5 hours for bed and meals if this sounds more appealing in this wet and stormy time!
