8 years ago it was 'the ruins at Glaun'. 3 acres of bracken & old dilapidated buildings have now been converted by Robin into a small holding. Gabriels Return, consists of a large house, s-c cottage, polytunnel & landscaped garden. Robin & Helen with their two daughters, reside at this wonderful spot, 5 km from the lively village of Schull on the Mizen Peninsular. We have a dog, cat and a few chickens, occasionally ducks, sheep & pigs. Robin has an apiary with active bee hives. We try to be as self sufficient as we can & grow as much produce in the polytunnel. The property also has a self catering cottage that has regular bookings through the season. Robin has a natural healthcare practise, run from Gabriels Return. Helen is one of the founding members of the Fastnet Short Film Festival, held annually in Schull in May. Robin is in the process of renovating the last ruin on the site. We are a laid back family, our home is often full of music, musicians are welcome. Hours are flexible approx. 6 hours a day and often you will be expected to be self-motivated. Helen loves to cook, so plenty of fresh good food comes out of her kitchen! With half the household being vegetarians, we can cater for all.
