We have a large property that has been in the family for 7 generation on Great Barrier Island. Great Barrier Island is a small island off the coast of Auckland you can only get here by ferry 5 hours or plane 40 minutes. We can pick you up from the ferry in Tryphena most times (some times if we are busy you will have to make your way to us.)Or you can fly in and the airport is just down the road. We use generators and solar panels for power so there is limited power. We farm sheep and beef. My husband and I both have full time jobs outside of the farm so life is very busy, we have 2 daughters aged 12 and 8. We have a self contained accommodation available for you to stay in - it sleeps up to 4 people so you could be sharing with others.I will supply the food for you to cater for yourselves or sometimes you can join us at meals times. I would love some help in my over grown neglected garden and section and around the house. We can some times pick you up on arrival and deliver you to your departure port if it suits. Great Barrier Island has some amazing features and we will try and show you as much as possible well you are here. The beaches are stunning and there are some beautiful bush walks. We are a very easy going busy family. Work Hours - 4 hours a day with one day of no work .
