We are a growing community, living in the Lithuanian countrysid and practicing sustainable living, natural building, local production. Lately we are learning intensively about Cannabis sativa(hemp), Chamerion angustifolium(fireweed) and other common though very valuable plants around us. Researhing, looking for scientific news, following world trends, inventing/finding something new(open room for hemp roots as a medical thing or fireweed leaves against prostate isues and inflammations)

This season we need hands on:
- wooden structure building - all summer
- plastering straw house - until July
- gardening and childcare - all summer and September
- working on wild Ivan Chai tea(Fireweed) - late June-July
- working with hemp(cannabis stiva l.) - July, August, september

To imagine how tasks look like, please see some photos.

Working on hemp, you will gain advanced knowledge on Cannabis Sativa, its produce like food, CBD, extracts, fiber properties, cultivation and harvesting, preservation, and even world trending in this field etc. so please only serious requests :)

Things done in the area so far:
-- 2 living houses are built using wood, straw and clay as main materials
-- a working wind turbine(for electricity)
-- solar water heater
-- one big and several small ponds
-- 2 little summer houses

In the area there also is:
> a modern diary farm
> an old old farm(200 years old wooden house, big barn and farmhouse) where we do some country side tourism activities and occasionally organize small sports events and competitions.

-- to build 2 domes using renewable materials(one would be for volunteers and community, another for hemp and other herbs workshops);
-- to rebuild one of the old structures using natural building ways
-- totally change from diary farm income to production and services using plants
-- build a strong, friendly, trustworthy and peaceful community of locals and share the ideas with others

Our homestead is located in the Moletai region, about 55km from Vilnius, surrounded by forest and fields, many hills and streams, some lakes.

Have in mind that we shower in the bath house type sauna each saturday and in the pond. There might be summer shower during sunny days. Drinking water is kinda limitless, but still be mindful about energy :)

Sleeping conditions and food.
Basically we provide either meals or produce and the kitchen for you to cook(especially if there are more helpers), some local vegetables and greens. Accomodation is in our summer wooden huts or in the tent, wifi available.

Work ethics.
we do not expect professional skills in every field, no stress bout it. But we expect respect, willingness to learn and be better each day - take critisism positively and improve, ask questions. We are gentle :)
For fair exchange we ask helpers to work for intensive 4-5 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. If the work is more walking, talking and figuring something out or slow and easy, lets work longer. During rainy days there is less work, during shiny days we work harder.
Most important, LET'S TALK :)

We are looking for skillful builders, businessmen, marketing people or in general skillful workers as this year it is hard to find time for teaching people with poor physical skills, thank you :)

*???for your freetime we give bicycles, windsurfing boards, snorekeling, maybe some archery lessons, blowgun, fireplaces are open for nice evenings. Sometimes we host camps or events, where you might take part as a special guest (usually folksare interested in traveling, intercultural exchange, etc.)
