Hello gals and guys,

We're on the lookout for a friendly female worker to join our team, for at least 3 weeks - but preferably longer.

We have the following openings for January:

- January 9: 1 person (willing to stay for at least 3 weeks)
- January 31: 1 person (willing to stay for at least 3 weeks)

Note: the dates listed are the dates that we would like you to arrive at our hostel.
When you reply, please list the arrival date you are interested in, as well as how long you would be willing to volunteer with us. Exact dates of departure can be narrowed down through the follow up communication.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from couples.

This is a cozy, small hostel in the historical city centre of The Hague. The hostel is located in a protected monumental building, which is more than 300 years old. Also, we're right above the bar De Gekke Geit (which serves as the hostel reception). We could use some positive, friendly and creative people to help us out throughout the year.

You will be sharing a room with your fellow workers. There is a kitchen in the hostel that you can use for lunch and dinner. There is WIFI in the hostel. We do not have a washing machine, but there is a laundromat nearby; as well as a supermarket. (Not to mention a pretty large market which is open 4 days a week).

Hostel tasks include breakfast shifts in the morning (07.30 - 11.30); or cleaning shifts in the afternoon (12.00 - 16.00). You will work one shift a day that will last for a maximum of 4 hours. In return you will get a bed and breakfast! The first 3 days of your stay we ask our workers to do double shifts.

We may also ask you to help out downstairs (in the bar), with the promotion for upcoming events, the planning and organising of new events and activities, or to unleash your creative instinct.

We expect our workers to take responsibility for their job, to help us improve where possible, and have a positive and flexible mindset. Hostel life can be a little hectic at times and we might ask you to help out here and there outside of the designated shifts.

Are you available and interested in staying with us? Please send us an email, response, or application with the following details:
- a little about yourself, and how you can contribute (hobbies/interest/skill set - and relevant work experience);
- the date on which you would like to arrive, and for how long you wish to stay and help out;
- ensure you have a couple of pictures available on your profile.

If your application does not contain the above mentioned information we won't be able to respond to your request, sadly.

To be clear we are interested in pro-active, happy and fun-loving people! (no weed smokers!!!!)
In case you don't receive an answer from us within 7 days it either means we are already fully staffed, or we've made the assumption that it wouldn't be a good fit.
We answer applications and do correspondence on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
