Our first Helpers from Germany have encouraged us to enjoy the company of more, since then we have had some very helpful French, German and Asian friends, the list is building of great young people. Our schedule has included sheep work, renovations and leisure, Local events and camping for the period.
We run a family farm 17km south of Keith in South Australia on a main road. We have 3 children at home from 12 to 18 and 2 older away.
Our property consists of 2 sheep studs,a few horses, summer and winter crops. We are centrally located in the South East of our state, with easy access to the major centres. The Limestone coast has many places to visit which include wineries, great beaches and friendly people, which we encourage you to find while you are here.
We have a busy weekend schedule revolving around sport and leisure. We also have a heated pool for your exercise or comfort.
We have a double room in our home and are happy to share with the right person/s. We require general farm work in exchange for accommodation and meals, and look forward to being a part of your travel experience. Summer includes sheep feeding, weeding, fencing and odd jobs. We are flexible and work when we have to and when the weather is not to uncomfortable. During winter some repairs and tractor work needs to be done.Lambing begins also, those little fellas are getting to fast for me!
