If you're interested in sustainable building and living, and want to learn and share, then come for a visit. We are looking for help this summer with our learning and retreat centre. You will be helping with the preparation of meals for workshop participants as well as helping with some of the actual workshops. We will also be building rustic furniture and making cedar shingles. There will also be other tasks which could include gardening and collecting material for rustic furniture and log house building, cedar shingle making and installation.

Our homestead is located on the beautiful Bruce Peninsula, the sandy beaches of Lake Huron on our west and the rugged escarpment of Georgian Bay to the east. We have an organic garden, and some chickens. We build handcrafted log houses and rustic cedar furniture, which is harvested from our forest and other managed forests. We host ongoing workshops on movement practices as well as workshops and courses on sustainable construction and sustainable living. Helpers will have the opportunity to learn hands-on skills in building, as well as gardening and forestry skills...and of course, there will be plenty of time to enjoy swimming, hiking, sight seeing, and dancing on the beach (yes, Wendy is a Nia dance instructor). Hoping to see you on the Bruce!
