From mid-January 2014, we are setting up a centre on an instinctual feeling that it is needed, that we are guided into doing it, and that great things will come from it.

Set in rural northern Brittany, France, it is based on no set philosophy or set of teachings, but is open to whatever form it is due to take as individuals and groups come in and bring their own energies and teachings.

The centre itself is in a fairly large cottage with gardens in a small village in a lush part of the Breton countryside. The facilities are comfortable, and the space is plentiful.

The centre is working on a donation-basis. Any offerings towards the cost of the upkeep of the centre will be gratefully received, but there is no aim to be making an economic profit through its running. Rather, we aim to profit from the immense energies that will be coming through the centre, and to share in the positivity and unconditional love that will be present.

In the first few weeks of the project, we have been just grounding ourselves and settling in, getting the house and grounds in good order, doing small amounts of building work and sorting, and have been on some missions (one successful) to get some animals. We now proudly are hosting a breeding trio of Muscovy ducks!

We are seeking to begin hosting regular community events, as well as putting on organised retreats. We seek to become a beacon of light, in a beautiful region, that all can come and feel appreciated in.

We, right now, is Rosie and Simon. Rosie is 21, and Simon is 24, and both met whilst studying Religion at Bath Spa University. We decided that we wanted to run a centre, and fortunately, for us, Rosie's parents were happy to let us see how it goes in their Breton holiday home.

Lastly, we're a vegetarian household, and are very committed to making this spiritual project work, and would greatly appreciate both open-mindedness and observance of the spiritual nature of the project.

We are looking for volunteers who feel that they can really bring great energy into this project. We have a number of building projects envisaged, such as building a compost toilet, building a temple/shrine room, as well as repair work around the house, which experienced help would be gratefully appreciated towards.

We are also seeking to grow a lot of our own vegetables, and so experienced and enthusiastic gardeners would be very welcome.

Also, help with organising retreats and community events would be greatly appreciated. We want this place to be vibrant, and really active in the community!

There is accommodation upstairs in the house, subject to availability. Once the weather gets warmer, there will also be the possibility of tented accommodation.

We live just a few minutes walk from the 'Site Legendaire de Croquelen', a magic place of faeries and the like. There are plenty of rolling hills, and lush countryside around, and the actual house is in a very quiet hamlet away from much noise at all. The nearest villages are within a 10 minute cycle ride (bikes are available to use), Lamballe is within a 15 minute drive, and the coast is less than a half hour drive.
