"Glendara" is about 4 and a half hours midway between Melbourne and Adelaide and is situated on the Glenelg River with rolling hills, red gums and lots of birdlife and kangaroos.

We are sheep graziers with a little bit of cropping each year, mainly to renovate pasture. We also have a 2 bedroom cottage on our property that we run as a B&B.

Helpx workers with or without farming experience are very welcome at our property, just come with a keen attitude and a willingness to learn.

It is Autumn now with a beautiful green outlook across the farm and surrounding hills, thanks to recent well needed rain.

There are always a variety of jobs Helpx workers would be able to assist with....helping Geoff with sheep work, preparing paddocks for sowing crops, general maintenance around the farm or helping Cherryl keep up in the garden or with some general housekeeping.

We love meeting people and have a big home that allows for helpers to have their own bedroom and bathroom. If you enjoy cooking we are happy for you to share some of your culinary skills!

We welcome anyone who would like to enjoy an Australian farm experience.

Helpers do not need a driving licence but it's handy if you have one! (We can arrange to meet you at the nearest town if you don't have a car).

Some things to do and see in the area:
Visit Mt Arapiles, one of the finest climbing venues in the world located about 40 minutes drive.

Visit the World Heritage caves at Naracoorte about 90 minutes drive.

Watch a local game of football and netball on Saturday, or walk down to the river and watch the abundant birdlife or a kangaroo or two!!

We look forward to sharing our beautiful farming lifestyle with interested Helpx people,

Geoff & Cherryl
